Hi there from Portugal MIKEL,
i have now tried to reach a compromise between your version and mine, and added a reference for Celta's win against Milan. Of course, we have to address the bad moments of his career and the good ones, but i did not write only the negative stuff like you said i did in your "help desk" report.
Also, i had to remove the bit in which you said "Espanyol has not qualified for European competition since...", this is an encyclopedia not a blog or a forum, we don't write in present tense in an encyclopedia OK?
Happy 2014, cheers --AL (talk) 19:03, 5 January 2014 (UTC)
Hi,
First of all, thank you for paying interest to my comments.
I never meant that this was done on purpose, but I counted up to 4 good seasons of the Manager ommitted in the article, including 2 qualifications for UEFA CUP and 1 promotion to first division. Sorry if you did not like my comment, but I am sure you understand my compain when 2 UEFA qualifications and 1 promotion to first division were ommited. In addition I am fine with your comment saying this is not a forum, but then you should consider removing the following sentence that it is more an opinion than a fact "as a result of the continued use of defensive tactics"
I am partly happy with the modifications you have included, thank you, but there are still some facts (not opinions) still ommitted:
1) In 2005 Lotina managed RDC Espanyol ending 5th in the League and qualifying for UEFA CUP. 2) The following sentence has a important mistake: "After poor a start in 2009–10 he more often then not switched to a 5–3–2 formation, going on to finish the year comfortably placed in mid-table[4] but being relegated in the following campaign". This is not correct, and this part ommits 2 good seasons of the Manager. What you mentioned happened in his first year, 2007-2008 (and no in 2009-2010) when the team improved to end in mid-table, also qualifying for UEFA cup by the way trough Intertoto. The next year (2008-2009) Deportivo was at the top of the table the whole season ending 7th. The following year (2009-2010) Deportivo had a brilliant start and a poorer second part, ending 10th. It was in the 4th season when the team was relegated.
Thank you
