Amy DuBois Barnett has recently stepped down from the being the editor in chief of Ebony Magazine.Prior to holding this position at Ebony Magazine , Amy held various positions that showcased her exceptional abilities in the field of journalism. Her first time working for a magazine was while she was pursuing her MFA at Columbia University. Amy wrote for the Fashions Almanac where she wrote about her interest in fashion. During her undergraduate years she did not major in English as expected, but was highly interested in going into the fashion industry. Writing for the Fashions Almanac is where she discovered her talents in journalism and continued, after graduating to find and eventually excel at other editing positions in the field of journalsim, In mid summer of 2014 Barnett announced that she was leaving her position in Ebony to take on a different position at ESPN.
