editPlease refrain from undoing other people's edits repeatedly. If you continue, you may be blocked from editing Wikipedia. Note that the three-revert rule prohibits making more than three reversions in a content dispute within a 24 hour period. Additionally, users who perform a large number of reversions in content disputes may be blocked for edit warring, even if they do not technically violate the three-revert rule. George Vithoulkas and conventional medicine
editIn his speech in Sweden:[1], George Vithoulkas makes a series of comments which he summarises as "conventional medicine, instead of curing diseases, is actually the cause of the degeneration of the human race." This seems a pretty clear, and I found no suggestion in his speech of the point highlighted in the overview presented by the British Homeopathic Association that "Homeopathy integrates well with conventional medicine." At the AfD discussion, you commented "With impressions, even innocent people have been killed. What counts, are facts." I'm concerned that people could be harmed if they are confused into refusing or stopping necessary medical treatments, and would welcome the facts about the true position taken taken by George Vithoulkas on conventional medicine which, to appear in Wikipedia, must be cited from an attributable reliable source. Your assistance in obtaining citable facts clarifying this point will be most appreciated. .. dave souza, talk 19:20, 27 March 2007 (UTC)
Dave Souza I looked at Vithoulkas' website and I found a citation in which you can see that Vithoulkas doesn't recommend allopatic medications to be stopped. You can see at his interview in Securvital, the biggest german journal of insurance companies [[2]] Also, I give you the question and the answer of the interview that we are interested in:
P. Which are the possibilities of homeopathic treatment in very advanced pathological cases?
In this group we have end-stages of diseases, like cancer, liver cirrhosis, juvenile diabetes, long standing diabetes that need insulin, long standing Parkinson, neuromuscular diseases, amyatrophic lateral sclerosis, muscular dystrophy, myopathy, myasthenia, brain strokes, spastic and autistic children, long standing epilepsy, long standing asthma with emphysema, serious heart conditions, serious mental disorders like schizophrenia, homeopathy can offer very little help in very few of such cases. There are few successes in such cases that made some over-enthusiastic homeopaths to believe or to claim that homeopathy can intervene and cure everything. The truth of the matter is that for such cases we have success only in a few cases. For these groups of diseases the practitioner will need the chemical drugs of conventional medicine in order to control the situation. An Objective Homeopath Miri Rozenberg 12:29, 28 March 2007 (UTC)
- Thanks for that information. [[User:Abridged|Abridged] has already copied this to Talk:George Vithoulkas#George Vithoulkas --- opinions on the role of conventional medicine in patient care (moved from AFD talk page), and the discussion should continue there. Your assistance with this is greatly appreciated, dave souza, talk 13:05, 28 March 2007 (UTC)
