An Automated Message from HagermanBot
editHello. In case you didn't know, when you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion, you should sign your posts by typing four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment. You may also click on the signature button located above the edit window. This will automatically insert a signature with your name and the time you posted the comment. This information is useful because other editors will be able to tell who said what, and when. Thank you! HagermanBot 03:31, 21 April 2007 (UTC)
Your posts on talk pages
editHello MI, I saw your message on the India talk page. While I can empathise with you about the nostalgia and all, I still have to point out to you that article talk pages are strictly meant only to discuss the article. This is per Wikipedia policies and guidelines. I am sorry I have removed your message from that page. WP:TALK, WP:NOT explain these things in more detail. I urge you to please read them atleast once. Thanks. Sarvagnya 03:39, 21 April 2007 (UTC)
- Thank you for telling me that i am new so i am sorry for any mistakes but again thank you --Missionimpossible 03:44, 21 April 2007 (UTC)
- Never mind :) We all make mistakes. Infact, I am sorry if I sounded rude earlier. There's lot to do on wikipedia and lots more to learn. Just take your time to read through the policies especially the ones concerning neutral point of view, personal attacks, no original research, reliable sources, the 3 revert rule and civility to name just a few. I am sure you'll find wikipedia just as interesting as it is rewarding. Cheers! Sarvagnya 03:51, 21 April 2007 (UTC)
Thanks for your message on my talk page. As another user has mentioned above, wikipedia doesn't really work like a chat room, but there are plenty of interesting things happening on the site. When I was new I spent a lot of time lurking at WP:AFD and WP:HD, which I found was a great way to get an idea of how things work. Anyway, the answer to your question is that an "in-house attorney" is someone who is qualified to be an attorney, but instead of being in private practice as an attorney, works directly for a company. In my case, at the time I wrote my user page, I working for a trust company in Bermuda: drafting all their legal documents and advising them and their clients about trust law. Thank you for your comment. --chunwook 01:21, 24 April 2007 (UTC)
See, if people decline interviews, some information about them may still be reported in the media. That information may be verifiable, and therefore eligible to place on Wikipedia. WhisperToMe 00:45, 30 April 2007 (UTC)
Andrea Yates
editAndrea was diagnosed by her first doctor, Dr. Starbranch, with psychotic depression. Saeed, her second doctor, failed to treat her psychotic illness and treated her only for depression. Taking her off her antipsychotic medication haldol led to the return of her psychosis, but it was being left alone contrary to his instructions that led to her ability to kill the children.
The only way I can help you understand how Andrea could "know" what she was doing and still be led astray by her delusions is to read this article replete with documentation.
http://hometown.aol.com/tensiontally/documents/delusions.htm
Andrea isn't a sociopath. She really couldn't -appreciate- what she was doing was wrong, although her delusions allowed such an understanding that it was legally wrong. She believed because of her delusions that it was altruistically loving to kill her children and spare them from hell, and further assure their souls to heaven by the propitiatory death facilitated by her execution. That is why she called the police--to fulfill what her preacher told her was the only other way they could be saved because she was so ungodly.
