Urban elation

edit

A tag has been placed on Urban elation, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article seems to be blatant advertising which only promotes a company, product, group, service or person and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become an encyclopedia article. Please read the general criteria for speedy deletion, particularly item 11, as well as the guidelines on spam.

If you can indicate why the subject of this article is not blatant advertising, you may contest the tagging. To do this, please add {{hangon}} on the top of Urban elation and leave a note on the article's talk page explaining your position. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would help make it encyclopedic, as well as adding any citations from reliable sources to ensure that the article will be verifiable. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. Bearian (talk) 18:28, 27 March 2008 (UTC)Reply

Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the article does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that a copy be emailed to you. Excirial (Talk,Contribs) 19:59, 27 March 2008 (UTC)Reply

How many deletions will it take

edit

You cannot use wikipedia as free advertising space. It doesn't matter how many different accounts you try to use, or how many times you recreate the article. We will spot it and delete as advertising. Theresa Knott | The otter sank 20:03, 27 March 2008 (UTC)Reply

Please read Wikipedia:Notability (organizations and companies). Generally speaking you would need reliable sources to prove the notability of your company. Theresa Knott | The otter sank 20:23, 27 March 2008 (UTC)Reply

Hi there. In case you didn't know, when you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion, you should sign your posts by typing four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment. If you can't type the tilde character, you should click on the signature button   located above the edit window. This will automatically insert a signature with your name and the time you posted the comment. This information is useful because other editors will be able to tell who said what, and when. Thank you! --SineBot (talk) 20:25, 27 March 2008 (UTC)Reply

To become an admin

edit

You need a minimum of around three months solid non problematic editing. (Obviously personal attacks against admins who delete pages you constantly recreate under multiple usernames for the purposes of advertising your little company don't count as non problematic.) Adminship

edit

Regarding your question, I'd advise 3 months solid, incident free editing, before attempting an RFA. Personal attacks on users aren't a good start either. But that answers your question. 3 months. Clean record. Steve Crossin (talk to me) 20:39, 27 March 2008 (UTC)Reply

Notability.

edit

Articles have to be notable for inclusion. See WP:NOTABLE. Steve Crossin (talk to me) 14:01, 28 March 2008 (UTC)Reply

No it is not a punishment

edit

We are not really into punishment. What you are describing sounds like a catchpa . I'd need details of what you are trying to edit to know why it is happening. Theresa Knott | The otter sank 16:21, 28 March 2008 (UTC)Reply

Try using a different browser other than firefox. Does that cure the problem? Theresa Knott | The otter sank 16:32, 28 March 2008 (UTC)Reply

Please sign your talk page edits with four tildes (~~~~) so that it is easier to follow the talk. It will also mean the SineBot doesn't need to fill them in for you, and you don't need to "fix" SineBot's work. - UtherSRG (talk) 16:39, 28 March 2008 (UTC)Reply
