I'm not clear what the issue is with this Wiki I created. There are dozens of similar Wikis created by others in our market. Search for The Tech Report and HardOCP. They are exactly the same sort of infomational posts about the site as a resource, its composition etc. I did list the site originally under HotHardware.com and got the error message that said the correct name was HotHardware, so I created this page but can't see how to delete the HotHardware.com page.

Thanks for your help. I can get this right I am sure, so it meets your guidelines.

I put the CSD tag on the page because:

• There is nothing especially notable about this web site -- it is ranked at over 22,000 at Alexa.com.
• There are few Google News hits and many of those that exist are promotional in nature (there doesn't appear to be any coverage of the site itself)

That criteria is pretty baseless to be honest. Alexa is a horrible rating system. We've been on the web now for over 8 years. Check compete.com for our rank versus our peers. It's much more accurate. We sever several million page views a month to a few million unique visitors. As you can see, Google spiders us as a Source regularly on our original content articles. Literally Intel, AMD, NVIDIA and all the Taiwanese ODMs work with us on first-round product launches. Intel themselves quoted one of our articles in a front page ad on the Wall Street journal today (you'll need the hard copy but it's there).

What else do you need for justification?

You certainly might be right, I could be mistaken. So, let me take a different tack. Let's assume for a moment the article should stay and that HotHardware.com passes Wikipedia's notability requirements. This is an encyclopedia and we need reliable sources to cite the facts in articles. Are there any newspaper articles, magazine articles, books, periodicals, etc that mention your company, web site, founders, etc.? If there are, great, let's start putting those references in the article. —Noah 06:20, 27 February 2008 (UTC)

In perhaps an overeager pursuit of my argument there are a couple points I want to respond to:

• Pointing out other pages exist such as HardOCP and The Tech Report is not justification that your page should exist, that guideline can be found here
• The fact that Intel and other Fortune 50 companies work with your company isn't in itself justification for the existence of a HotHardware.com article. Those companies work with thousands of other small companies as well. We don't really need pages on every company that has ever worked with Intel. Notability is not inherited.

Fair use rationale for Image:HotHardware Screenshot.jpg

Image:HotHardware Screenshot.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.
