Omaha System

Hi, I can see no reference in the article you have added on the Omaha System to funding or costing mechanisms. As a result I'm not convinced that linking this article to the one on DRGs is appropriate. Could you please explain further? Thanks Beeswaxcandle (talk) 04:54, 15 February 2010 (UTC)

Hi: Thank you for your interest in this new Omaha System wiki page. You are correct about the Omaha System not having a funding or costing mechanism. I included DRGs as an internal link because DRG data are often used to classify patient acuity in informatics studies, and Omaha System data can be used similarly in classifying patient acuity. It is interesting that you're from New Zealand. I happen to be visiting in Auckland at the moment. Please let me know if I've answered your question satisfactorily.
