Editing Ross Tucker article 23-MAY-2018

HI, I wanted to thank you for your desire to be helpful with the Ross Tucker article, it is appreciated. But I must ask that in the future you try your best to not edit the Ross Tucker article for anything other than spelling errors or to remove blatant vandalism. Edits like the one you made today may be seen as promotional when added by someone who has acknowledged being an acquaintance of the subject of the article. I understand it can be frustrating to see something missing from an article and there being an immediate urge to fix it. And normally that would be okay. But because of your COI relationship with Mr. Tucker, these kinds of edits should be avoided. If there is something that needs to be changed, please use the COI edit request template to ask for an editor to help you. That template is here to serve you, as it was created specifically for cases like this. So please don't hesitate in the future to use it, that's what it's there for. Hello, Is there a reason why you added “Yankees Entertainment and Sports Network”? Ross hasn’t worked there in years and he doesn’t want that in the opening paragraph.

I think it should say “He works …” rather than “Since then he has worked …”

Also, why was “…distributed by Podcast One” added to the line about the podcast? I guess I’m okay with it, I just didn’t think it was necessary.

Could you also get rid of the part about Ross writing a weekly column for Sports on Earth in the final paragraph because he doesn't anymore.

Ross Tucker article 26-AUG-2018

Hi, just wanted to confirm a few things before removing them.

1. YES Network - the information I have is that Tucker has produced material for this network. Is this still currently the case, or was this past information? Please advise.

This is past information. The YES Network no longer exists.

1. The mention of content written for Sports on Earth is listed in one of Tucker's bio's, but I've changed the wording per your request to more clearly describe this as a past collaboration.

Correct.

1. Another editor has recently changed Tucker's weight in the infobox to 316 pounds (143 kg). This might appear as excessive in terms of his height, which is listed as 6 feet 04 inches (1.93 m). Can you confirm if this newer weight is correct?

Wikipedia's practice is generally to retain mentions of past employments in articles, but beyond that, I've moved Tucker's name in the YES Network lineup template from current on-air staff to former on-air staff and reset the template so that it automatically displays as collapsed rather than visible. The only references in the article that mention the association refer to it as formerly broadcasting for YES. I've also omitted the See also section which had a WikiLink to the YES network.  spintendo  04:58, 31 August 2018 (UTC)
