Talk:Military of New Spain
Plese see: Talk:Military of New Spain. I doubt your honest intentions in tagging my article with {additional citations}. Creuzbourg (talk) 16:13, 4 October 2019 (UTC)
- I do not longer doubt the honesty of your intentions; it was a honest mistake. See: Wikipedia:Manual of Style/Lead section#Citations. Its actually rather complicated.Creuzbourg (talk) 19:23, 5 October 2019 (UTC)
About Kowsar Publishing
Dear MoonyTheDwarf ,
I tried to create my company page but Wikipedia and you wrote that I have COI with my page. I accept it. But How can I create a page for my company? I saw many publishers that have made their own company page in Wikipedia. Could you please help me?
Drmiri (talk) 18:36, 4 October 2019 (UTC)
- @Drmiri: Hello! This is an issue I am too inexperienced to provide an answer for, but the fact of the matter is that your company likely does not meet WP:Notability guidelines. Alongside this, you must disclose paid editing, or you will be blocked from Wikipedia, and other Wikimedia Foundation run sites, as per ToS. MoonyTheDwarf (Braden N.) Reinstating removed speedy notices
Hi, please see WP:REMOVED, editors are permitted to remove speedy deletion notices - they just can't remove the deletion tag itself. SQLQuery me! 19:40, 10 October 2019 (UTC)
- @SQL: Yup, hence why I stopped my reverts. Was a silly mistake on my part --MoonyTheDwarf (Braden N.) (talk) 19:42, 10 October 2019 (UTC)
No need to speedy a short self-introduction on a userpage
Hi, MoonyTheDwarf. I have removed your speedy template on User:Prince Obawole. A brief self-introduction without self-promotion is quite acceptable on a userpage. Bishonen | talk 22:30, 11 October 2019 (UTC).
- I think your new post on the user's talkpage crossed paths with my post here. :-) It's all good. Bishonen | talk 22:33, 11 October 2019 (UTC).
Tagging of User talk:Chifrany
I recently removed a speedy delete tag that you had placed on User talk:Chifrany. I do not think that User talk:Chifrany fits any of the speedy deletion criteria because U5 specifically does not apply to main user talk pages. I request that you consider not re-tagging User talk:Chifrany for speedy deletion without discussing the matter on the appropriate talk page. DES (talk)DESiegel Contribs 01:18, 12 October 2019 (UTC)

Thank you for making a report about Dugisawesome (talk · contribs · block log) on Wikipedia:Administrator intervention against vandalism. Reporting and removing vandalism is vital to the functioning of Wikipedia and all users are encouraged to revert, warn, and report vandalism. However, it appears that the editor you reported may not have engaged in vandalism, or the user was not sufficiently or appropriately warned. Please note there is a difference between vandalism and unhelpful or misguided edits made in good faith. If the user continues to vandalise after a recent final warning, please re-report it. Thank you. IanDBeacon (talk) 17:35, 18 October 2019 (UTC)
Hi
Hi Braden, sorry if my tone at VPP was overly harsh. I'm glad that you're concerned about helping new editors, and are willing to take feedback on board. Our essay at WP:BITE gives a lot of advice on what not to do, but I thought you might also enjoy MeatballWiki's essay on welcoming newcomers which gives some good perspectives. Being bold and editing a problematic user page is a great way to lead by example and introduce users to WP:BOLD and WP:UOWN without the editor having to read 2 whole essay. You do a good job of welcoming and maintaining mainspace; this is just because I thought you might like the meatball article. Keep up the good work! Wug·a·po·des 22:46, 24 October 2019 (UTC)
- Wugapodes, Thanks. No worries, I usually don't mind (Altho I believe other users may call your tone harsh, but I personally do not care). Thanks for the links! MoonyTheDwarf (Braden N.) (talk) 23:13, 24 October 2019 (UTC)

Joker movie
Hey, C.J, I am relatively new here, so found that on the highest grossing R-rated films page it is stated to have earned around 800 million but on it's own it is stated to have earned around 776 million dollars, so can you edit either of the page so that both of them remain consistent? From what I've heard, all the news outlets claim that it has topped 800 million dollars but whatever please edit either of the pages to maintain consistency. I cannot do it myself because I am a new user and the page is semi-protected. Nekron2 (talk) 05:16, 27 October 2019 (UTC)
- Nekron2, If you have a source which reliably confirms this, then certainly! --MoonyTheDwarf (Braden N.) (talk) 05:59, 27 October 2019 (UTC)
Are news outlets or box office mojo taken as reliable source here?Nekron2 (talk) 06:12, 27 October 2019 (UTC)
- Nekron2, Often, yes. See Wikipedia:Reliable sources MoonyTheDwarf (Braden N.) (talk) 06:13, 27 October 2019 (UTC)
Well, then according to box office mojo- https://www.boxofficemojo.com/release/rl252151297/?ref_=bo_rl_tab#tabs
Joker has earned 776 million dollars, so the highest grossing R-rated films page has to be changed, also probably, that page needs to be semi-protected too, as well, it is being vandalized, you can see that on the page.Nekron2 (talk) 06:18, 27 October 2019 (UTC)
- Nekron2, Thanks for telling me. I've filed a semiprotection request, and will revert the vandalism. MoonyTheDwarf (Braden N.) (talk) 06:22, 27 October 2019 (UTC)

Draft Skunky
Hey There! I am not being paid for "Draft: Skunky". I created it because of who he is. NOBODY has paid me on his behalf. I noticed he did not have one yet. But he has half a million subscribers on youtube and a verified YouTube account. So I have begun to create the article. I am getting together more citations for the article. Can you please help me make this more as a nonpromotional article? — Preceding unsigned comment added by Youtubercreationarticles (talk • contribs) 03:47, 28 October 2019 (UTC)
- Youtubercreationarticles, Alrighty, good. First off, you'll need to find reliable coverage of this person by news outlets or other third party sources. Simply having half a million subscribers does not make him notable enough to be included. MoonyTheDwarf (Braden N.) (talk) 03:49, 28 October 2019 (UTC)

U5 tagging
Hi. I've commented on a few of your deletion nominations recently, and I hope that this doesn't come off as wiki-stalking - I'm not trying to follow you around, but I've felt the need to comment on some of your nominations because they're questionable. I just removed a U5 tag from User:Cassiepark/Allergy_to_Cats, because it's obviously not U5. If you look at their profile, you'll see that they're a student editor in a biology class, and the page is clearly a draft for a new article or an addition to one. U5 is for spam and things that have nothing to do with Wikipedia, not good faith attempts to create content. Also, you tagged the article for deletion one minute after it was created. You really shouldn't do that unless the article is obvious spam, vandalism or copyvio, because the user might still be working on it. SpicyMilkBoy (talk) 04:00, 28 October 2019 (UTC)
- SpicyMilkBoy, It's fine. I'm not perfect. Thanks for telling me about my mistake, i'll be more careful in the future. MoonyTheDwarf (Braden N.) (talk) 04:03, 28 October 2019 (UTC)
- For note, I welcome someone keeping an eye on me, helps me learn, as they can point out what mistakes I make. Doesn't bother me at all. MoonyTheDwarf (Braden N.) (talk) 04:04, 28 October 2019 (UTC)
- If you'd like more advice, I just went through your contributions and noticed this. The user's page is one sentence saying "Alexandria is 22 years old". That's not an autobiography or a fake article... it's a perfectly normal thing to put on a user page. Also, you tagged this talk page for U5, which does not apply to talk pages (someone else warned you about this above). If someone posts inappropriate content on their talk page you should just blank the page. Sorry if my comments seem harsh, but I think it's important to be careful with deletion tagging. It's very discouraging to new users if their pages are tagged for deletion just because they created an incomplete draft or put some information about themselves on their user page. SpicyMilkBoy (talk) 04:37, 28 October 2019 (UTC)
- SpicyMilkBoy, Understood. MoonyTheDwarf (Braden N.) (talk) 05:24, 28 October 2019 (UTC)

User Pages
Hello MoonyTheDwarf, my regards. My user page is made in jest, a sort of kitschy nod to the format of autobiographical accounts of notable figures. I realize this may be lost on most users, and would certainly never attempt to construct my own page; if I am not mistaken, however, this page is not for general viewing, and is a free space for androidperson98 specifically, "There is no fixed use for user pages, except that usually one's user page has something about oneself". Thank you for your concern. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Androidperson98 (talk • contribs) 16:44, 6 November 2019 (UTC)
- Androidperson98, You were the person who's userpage previously implied they were a dog, right? Sorry. It was quite entertaining, but I wasn't 100% sure about how to proceed when it came to policy. I made a mistake. MoonyTheDwarf (Braden N.) (talk) 16:52, 6 November 2019 (UTC)

Deleting page
Hi, You marked my page for speedy deletion due to promotional nature. User:GreenLondonPlumbers I was merely trying to establish my credibility within the community before contributing to the plumbing and heating knowledge within Wiki. Did I accidentally create an article? Do users get something like "my page" to talk about themselves? Thanks GreenLondonPlumbers (talk) 17:04, 18 November 2019 (UTC)
- GreenLondonPlumbers, You are not required to establish credibility at all. Alongside that, it looks much more like you're trying to promote yourself, considering your username is the name of your company, which is against username policy, and has been reported. Note
Just a note, but try to go easy on folks when your at the Teahouse, even if you've found someone there who is particularly frustrating, or who you might even feel deserves it for wasting time and failing to get the point. A lot of other new users are liable to come to the Teahouse too (we have a bot that invites them) and if they read other discussion where people don't actually seem all that nice and welcoming after all, they're liable to think twice about asking questions there. - I believe it was the bit about how you were not going to bother reading what they wrote, because your time is valuable too. But again, it's not necessarily about any one user (for example, we get taxing COI users all the time), but it's about fostering an environment where people aren't embarrassed to ask stupid questions. Most of the people asking stupid questions are doing so in good faith. GMGtalk 23:57, 18 November 2019 (UTC)
- GreenMeansGo, Alright, i'll avoid that in the future. For future note, they were previously told not to write any more already, and by that point I was a bit annoyed when they came along twice with a wall of text. (One got removed as not being a question at all). My apologies. --MoonyTheDwarf (Braden N.) (talk) 13:20, 19 November 2019 (UTC)

An editor's talk page
Please read this section of the guideline on user talk pages. It says "Although archiving is preferred, users may freely remove comments from their own talk pages. Users may also remove some content in archiving. The removal of a warning is taken as evidence that the warning has been read by the user. This specifically includes both registered and unregistered users.
" It is not appropriate to revert when an editor removes a comment from their own talk page. Schazjmd (talk) 17:45, 19 November 2019 (UTC)

Hi Moonythedwarf. Just a note to say I've removed your CSD tag from this page. Drafts are theoretically eligible for CSD under G11, but in my view it should be a very rare draft indeed that is actually deleted under that criteria, given that they are not in mainspace and will have to go through a review process before they can be moved there. Plausible drafts with weak sources and promotional language make up the vast majority of the AFC backlog, and we don't just speedy delete them all. In this case, there was no way the article met the requirement for G11, and tagging it as such within a minute of the draft being created just seems inappropriate.
