Preserve at Sharp Mountain

edit

Over the past weeks a few editors have reverted edits that you made which you have later restored. In most cases, the editors (myself included) have listed the reason for reversions in the explanation line of the edit, but I wanted to contact you to explain why your recent contributions have been reverted. Most importantly, you have recently inserted an edit which includes a private bare URL that is "members only" and not accessible to Wikipedia community. That most certainly violates Wikipedia policy and will result in another reversion. In addition, the redundant inclusion of a URL that is already referenced correctly in the "External links" section, is unnecessary. Finally, the inclusion of what are known as "bare URLs" is "”bad style” per https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Help:Wikitext#External_links" as pointed out by an editor who reverted one of your edits. It is my understanding that various bots scan Wikipedia and will eventually correct bare URLs. I hope that armed with these comments, you will correct the issues concerning the article The Preserve at Sharp Mountain, Georgia in the next week.  ⁃ Firewall 21:09, 24 December 2023 (UTC)Reply

Blocked for sockpuppetry

edit

You have been blocked indefinitely from editing for abusing multiple accounts per the evidence presented at Wikipedia:Sockpuppet investigations/MountainHiker. Note that multiple accounts are allowed, but not for illegitimate reasons, and any contributions made while evading blocks or bans may be reverted or deleted.
If you think there are good reasons for being unblocked, please review Wikipedia's guide to appealing blocks, then add the following text to the bottom of your talk page: {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}}.  Courcelles (talk) 19:38, 5 March 2024 (UTC)Reply

Request reason:

I clearly did not understand the edit rules, the page was for my community, please let me correct my mistake and keep the page MountainHiker (talk) 04:14, 14 June 2024 (UTC)Reply

Decline reason:

I am declining your unblock request because it does not address the reason for your block, or because it is inadequate for other reasons. To be unblocked, you must convince the reviewing administrator(s) that

  • the block is not necessary to prevent damage or disruption to Wikipedia, or
  • the block is no longer necessary because you
    1. understand what you have been blocked for,
    2. will not continue to cause damage or disruption, and
    3. will make useful contributions instead.

Please read the guide to appealing blocks for more information. 331dot (talk) 06:43, 14 June 2024 (UTC)Reply

If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.
