License tagging for Image:Desani.jpg
editThanks for uploading Image:Desani.jpg. Wikipedia gets thousands of images uploaded every day, and in order to verify that the images can be legally used on Wikipedia, the source and copyright status must be indicated. Images need to have an image tag applied to the image description page indicating the copyright status of the image. This uniform and easy-to-understand method of indicating the license status allows potential re-users of the images to know what they are allowed to do with the images.
For more information on using images, see the following pages:

Welcome, newcomer
editWelcome, Mowglee! I seem to have located you as a new editor, somewhere lost and alone in the vastness that is Wikipedia. Never fear, you have found yourself a guide! If you are lost or confused, you might want to take a look at this FAQ.
If you find yourself with a great deal of time, you can start out at the Introduction and work your way through the many pages listed in that page.
I cannot stress enough the necessity of reading - it is absolutely fundamental to your understanding of Wikipedia. I know it's complex and overwhelming, which is exactly why I want to help you. Please feel free to ask questions liberally; the Newbies' help page and my talk page are perfect places to post your queries. Just edit the page using the tabs at the top, and ask away!

About the Wikipedia Logo
edit- Jimbo, as busy as he understandably would be, is probably the worst person to ask about this. Try asking a moderator who, if he couldn't do it himself would probably have an easier time getting the attention of the superiors who can. I have a feeling that only those REALLY high in rank can touch this through a lot of trouble- having an "edit" tab would be extremely foolish, as it would probably be vandalized like every day even if it was locked. I do however see the importance of its being corrected. You can check out [[1]], and [[2]] for starters--Dagibit 02:44, 20 December 2006 (UTC)

Tata Steel
editHi. Thanks for showing interest in the article and sorry for the delay in replying. The main problem with the article right now is that it has no references. Also there is no "see also" section, no "further reading" section, and no "external links" section. I see that some of them have been lost in some heavy editing some time back. See this version. You could add sections by looking at well-developed articles of other companies. For example, Microsoft has this good section called "corporate affairs" for details on stock, logos, etc. You can keep the number of main sections limited as in Wal-Mart. That should be enough for a starting point. Do tell me if you want more help regarding the layout of the article. Regards, - Aksi_great (talk) 11:43, 27 February 2007 (UTC)
File source problem with File:Desaniyoung.JPG
editThanks for uploading File:Desaniyoung.JPG. I noticed that the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you did not create this file yourself, you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, then a link to the website from which it was taken, together with a restatement of that website's terms of use of its content, is usually sufficient information. However, if the copyright holder is different from the website's publisher, their copyright should also be acknowledged.
If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their source and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link. Unsourced and untagged images may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If the image is copyrighted under a non-free license (per Wikipedia:Fair use) then the image will be deleted 48 hours after 19:30, 23 August 2009 (UTC). If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. feydey (talk) 19:30, 23 August 2009 (UTC)

Disambiguation link notification for October 25
editHi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Dakhini, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Hindavi (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page. unused, low-res, no obvious use
While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.
You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated files}}
