Science Advances From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia Not to be confused with Advanced Science. Could this be moved to bottom? Science Advances is a peer-reviewed multidisciplinary open-access scientific journal established in early 2015 and published by the American Association for the Advancement of Science.[1] The journal's scope add reference https://www.science.org/content/page/science-advances-mission-and-scope includes all areas of science, including life sciences, public health, neuroscience, physical sciences, social sciences, computer sciences, and environmental and space sciences.

Leshner in February 2014 add reference to https://www.science.org/doi/10.1126/science.1251654, and the first articles were published in early 2015.[2] In 2019, Science Advances surpassed Science magazine in the number of monthly submissions, becoming the largest member in the Science family of journals. The journal seeks to publish impactful research papers and reviews in any area of science, in both discipline-specific and broad interdisciplinary areas. Open access policies As of 2019, the article processing charge for articles published under a CC BY-NC or CC BY license is $4,500. All content is freely accessible to all readers. When the journal was launched, this policy replace "this policy" with "the policy of offering different license choices to authors" was initially criticized by open access advocates, who preferred the less restrictive CC BY license.[4][5][6][7] Science family of journals The Science family of journals includes Science, Science Translational Medicine, Science Signaling, Science Advances, Science Immunology and Science Robotics [add reference to: https://www.aaas.org/news/aaas-expand-science-family-journals-launching-two-new-journals-science-robotics-and-science].
