editWelcome to Wikipedia. Although everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia, your addition of one or more external links to the page Chris Harris (Automotive Journalist) has been reverted.
Your edit here to Chris Harris (Automotive Journalist) was reverted by an automated bot that attempts to remove links which are discouraged per our external links guideline. The external link(s) you added or changed (https://www.youtube.com/channel/UC8AMAhCRmep7VJKe1sxvHFg) is/are on my list of links to remove and probably shouldn't be included in Wikipedia. If the external link you inserted or changed was to a media file (e.g. a sound or video file) on an external server, then note that linking to such files may be subject to Wikipedia's copyright policy, as well as other parts of our external links guideline. If the information you linked to is indeed in violation of copyright, then such information should not be linked to. Please consider using our upload facility to upload a suitable media file, or consider linking to the original.
If you were trying to insert an external link that does comply with our policies and guidelines, then please accept my creator's apologies and feel free to undo the bot's revert. However, if the link does not comply with our policies and guidelines, but your edit included other, constructive, changes to the article, feel free to make those changes again without re-adding the link. Please read Wikipedia's external links guideline for more information, and consult my list of frequently-reverted sites. For more information about me, see my FAQ page. Thanks! --XLinkBot (talk) 22:15, 30 October 2015 (UTC)

Hi Mpmacintosh. Thank you for your work on patrolling pages and tagging for speedy deletion. I'm just letting you know that I declined your deletion request for Josh Cartu, a page that you tagged for speedy deletion, under criterion If you're concerned that a page was created by somebody with a conflict of interest, raise it with that user or on the talk page. because the criterion you used or the reason you gave does not cover this kind of page. Please take a moment to look at the suggested tasks for patrollers, criteria for speedy deletion, and particularly, the section covering non-criteria. Such pages are best tagged with proposed deletion or proposed deletion for biographies of living persons, or sent to the appropriate deletion discussion. Thanks!--McGeddon (talk) 18:01, 3 May 2016 (UTC)

edit- As reviewing administrator, I did not delete the article. Neither speedy deletion reason you gave for M.P. Srinivasan applies. A1 odes not apply if you can tell what the article is about, and A7 only requires anindication of significance, and saying someone is a university is an indication of significance, tho it may or may not be actual notability according to WP:PROF.
- You need considerably more experience beforey ou are ready to review new articles. And you also need to read very carefully WP:Deletion policyand WP:Speedy. DGG ( talk ) 23:03, 21 July 2016 (UTC)
New deal for page patrollers
editHi Mpmacintosh,
In order to better control the quality of new pages, keep out the spam, and welcome the genuine newbies, the current system we introduced in 2011 is being updated and improved. The documentation and tutorials have also been revised and given a facelift. Most importantly a new user group New Page Reviewer has been created.
Under the new rule, you may find that you are temporarily unable to mark new pages as reviewed. However, this is nothing to worry about - most current experienced patrollers are being accorded the the new right without the need to apply, and if you have significant previous experience of patrolling new pages, we strongly encourage you to apply for the new right as soon as possible - we need all the help we can get, and we are now providing a dynamic, supportive environment for your work.
Find out more about this exiting new user right now at New Page Reviewers and be sure to read the new tutorial before applying. MediaWiki message delivery (talk) 04:29, 13 November 2016 (UTC)
