Complex Number Question

Regarding your question. If we assume that z ≠ –1, then we just need to multiply through:

${\frac {1+z}{1+{\overline {z}}}}=z\iff 1+z=z(1+{\overline {z}})\iff 1+z=z+z{\overline {z}}\iff 1=|z|\ .$

• For any number (z ≠ –1) with modulus 1, the left hand equation holds.
• Any number (z ≠ –1) where the left hand equation holds must have modulus 1.
