I urge you to review the above before continuing to edit the page in which you seem to have a conflict of interest. 331dot (talk) 17:48, 26 December 2014 (UTC)
I see you have requested a new username; however you will need to revisit the page as there is a capitalization error in your original name preventing your request from being processed. Please also note that changing your username will not remove any conflict of interest you might have. 331dot (talk) 17:52, 26 December 2014 (UTC)
- I have made minor edits to correct incorrect information... most in the personal life section... Charles B. Pierce was NOT married to Cindy Butler at the time of The Town That Dreaded Sundown. They married much later, shortly before moving to Carmel Valley, CA. Beth Pulley's name was deleted as a third wife, as there is question to her true legal name, and if they were, in fact, married. Also added was information about Texarkana, AR and TX having legally proclaimed June 16 Charles B. Pierce Day in 2013. (See link: http://kygl.com/announcing-the-charles-b-pierce-film-festival-for-texarkana/) The mayors of both cities presented signed legal proclamations and presented the document in a public forum, which as been the subject of news articles. His oldest child, Pamula Pierce Barcelou was named Administrator of his estate on Oct.1, 2014, according to public records and documents. These are easily verifiable legal facts available in public news reports, marriage, divorce, birth, and probate records. I believe these edits to represent true and correct records; and is there is no conflict of interest. Thank you for your input. I would appreciate your verification of said public records and the Notice of Conflict box at the top of Mr. Pierce's Wiki page be removed. Thank you.
- Also changed... Mr. Buddy Ledwell did not make a "donation" to produce 'The Legend of Boggy Creek'. He made an investment that paid a hefty return.— Preceding unsigned comment added by MrWillyCreek (talk • contribs)
- The conflict of interest is that you have claimed that you are the representative of Mr. Pierce's estate. In general you should not be editing pages about things you are directly associated with, or at a minimum you should seek consensus or review from others prior to making notable edits. If you have not already please review the conflict of interest policy. Your edits are likely completely proper, but that isn't the issue. I will let an uninvolved party remove the COI tag from the page. I would also suggest clearly declaring your association with this article subject on your userpage, or even this page.331dot (talk) 04:12, 27 December 2014 (UTC)
331dot I clearly declared who I was by my username. YOU, 333dot told me I had to change it. Yes, I have read the 'Conflict of Interest' section. My understanding is that Wikipedia presents truth in fact, and verifiable (if, possible) information on the subject. The changes I have made are MINOR corrections or additions that OTHER Wiki contributors have stated are wrong. If your only desire is for rules and regulations, (which seems to be your agenda in this case),(see below), and inaccuracies are fine with you, so be it. I feel it is my DUTY to clarify or correct, if I am aware of inaccuracies or information I know to be false that are inserted on Charles B. Pierce's Wikipedia page
(331dot statement above: Your edits are likely completely proper, but that isn't the issue.) Other edits have mentioned these inaccuracies, some have been corrected, while others haven't. Examples of incorrect information: "His first wife, Cindy Butler" (corrected by another editor), "Cindy Butler was his wife during the filming of "Town That Dreaded Sundown"." (Corrected by me.) Check the public marriage and divorce records. Beth Pulley is a question, both to name, and legal marital status. Other editors have also pointed this out to Wikipedia and it had NOT been corrected until 2 days ago. If another editor can produce a legal, known name, along with a Marriage License, THEN it should be re-added. Wikipedia is not the place for opinions, guesses, or wishful thinking. It is an online encyclopedia that SHOULD ONLY include known and true facts. I added the Charles B. Pierce Day (which I attached a link to the public presentation of the fact.) I also added his Probate Estate under "Death and Legacy". →331dot YOU might want to add CBP's only heirs named in his Will. There were NO provisions in his Will for Cindy Butler or Beth-whatever-her-last-name is or was. That's "junky", in my opinion, to let other's voice their opinion; ie. "They remained friends after their divorce" That is an opinion... I am not stating they weren't friends, but he also remained on good terms with his first wife, Florene Lyons Pierce. Those are opinions, not verifiable facts. If Cindy Butler was, in fact, his big bud... and some other woman was his third wife, why were there NO provisions made for them after his death? All I want is for his record to reflect the truth and be correct. You may also want to change place of death. It is wrong. He died in a nursing home in Erin, TN, Houston County, TN from Alzheimer's disease. Check your facts. Thank you. Cite error: There are <ref>
tags on this page without content in them (see the help page).hard copy
- I am sorry for confusing you. Your username needed to be changed, but you still need to state somewhere your affiliation with the article subject. You can do so on your userpage (click your username at the top of the screen to access it) or post on the article talk page if you haven't already. I have never had any serious issue with your edits, but the appearance of a conflict of interest needed to be addressed. I wish you well with your editing. 331dot (talk) 15:30, 28 December 2014 (UTC)
Thank you. I thought we were on the "Talk Page". Nevertheless, I have zero problem using my own name, Pamula Pierce Barcelou, and am happy to back up my statements with written, legal proof. I will also disclose my association to CBP...I am his oldest child born in 1962. I also worked with him on several of his films. I was present for all of his films. 331dot I see editor Nagel cleaned up my writing, which is fine. How do we remove the conflict box now that my edits have been "corrected"? Thank you.

I made SMALL edits and two factual, easily verifiable additions... mostly pertaining to Personal section. You need to compare before and after... I am NOT a MAJOR CONTRIBUTER! I would certainly like a non-biased editor to see the changes I have made and to remove the "Conflict of Interest" Boxed Heading. Thank you.

editHello and welcome to Wikipedia. When you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion (but never when editing articles), please be sure to sign your posts. There are two ways to do this. Either:
- Add four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment; or
- With the cursor positioned at the end of your comment, click on the signature button ( or ) located above the edit window.
This will automatically insert a signature with your username or IP address and the time you posted the comment. This information is necessary to allow other editors to easily see who wrote what and when.
Thank you. 331dot (talk) 04:29, 27 December 2014 (UTC)
