Recent edits to Dell OptiPlex
editHello, I'm Soham. I noticed that you made a change to an article, but you didn't provide a reliable source. It's been removed for now, but if you'd like to include a citation and re-add it, please do so! If you need guidance on referencing, please see the referencing for beginners tutorial, or if you think I made a mistake, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you.
- Where are the sources? Please include them with citations, otherwise they qualify as WP:OR. Soham 05:35, 6 January 2014 (UTC)
- They're simple observable facts. Those Optiplex PCs were shipped with no PS/2 ports adjacent to all the other ports on the back panel, as Intel intended by removing PS/2 support from its chipsets, forcing PS/2 port support to be provided by accessory chips. https://www.ebay.com/itm/361271126854 is a currently available example like many on eBay: DELL, PS/2 SERIAL PORT ADAPTER, F9102, REV A00. It's identical to several I own installed in various Optiplex PCs. I don't know where to find any better reference, as Dell makes specifications for old models difficult to locate even using Dell service tags. Possibly someone who is more resourceful could locate one using one of my service tags: 20HRT71 for a 280, or 4Q7Q891 for a 620. Mrmazda (talk) 03:47, 18 January 2023 (UTC)
