Claymore (manga)

edit

The Claymore (manga) page has too much in-universe information in it since you merged the content from the other page. I was the one who initially created the other page in order to simplify the main one. Can you tell me the reason for re-merging them? 23:55, 5 February 2008 (UTC)

Look at Claymore talk page ;)

Speedy deletion of User infobox:Uncle Scrooge

edit

A tag has been placed on User infobox:Uncle Scrooge, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G1 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page appears to have no meaningful content or history, and the text is unsalvageably incoherent. If the page you created was a test, please use the sandbox for any other experiments you would like to do. Feel free to leave a message on my talk page if you have any questions about this.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Map

edit

as ypu can see it is marked "West Germany / Germany, USSR / Russia, Czechoslovakia / Czech Republic, SFR Yugoslavia / FR Yugoslavia / Serbia and Montenegro / Serbia are all shown separatly" There would be no reason not to have consistency — chandler18:18, 19 June 2008 (UTC)Reply

Yes but if you look at all the other pictures (World Cup pictures) they have the USSR Czechoslovakia Yugoslavia etc separated, and I would be for skipping the old countries and just have a current map etc, but I think it's only consistent to have either all or none former states "split" on the map — chandler10:11, 21 June 2008 (UTC)Reply

Ancient revert at Russia and the United Nations

edit

Just got my eyes on an edit of yours from February 19, which among other things restored the "Counter-Arguments" section that had been added by Supersexyspacemonkey on July 19, 2006 and removed by Miyokan on January 6 as "one big original research violation", which sounds about right. I was just about to remove the section again, but checked the history first and wanted to know if there is some sort of dispute behind this or if the section just happened to slip back in during your reverting other stuff. -- Jao (talk) 21:20, 9 August 2008 (UTC)Reply

Hello. The article UEFA Cup Winners' Cup records and statistics was listed on the copyright problems board on September 2nd, here. Under question was the section entitled "Trivia and records", which was added to the article by you in June of 2007, here. This material seems to have been duplicated, not from the source that the tagger identified, but from this source. Archived version shows that it was practically identical to the version you added as of May 2007. The material has had to be modified or removed. While that source does permit reuse if authorship is credited, it would have been insufficient simply to add that attribution because it explicitly reserves all other rights, which is incompatible with GFDL. Material released to Wikipedia must authorize modifications as well.

If you are the author of the original website and wish to verify Wikipedia's rights to use the material according to GFDL, please review "donating copyrighted materials" for further steps. If you are not but believe that the author will permit its use, please see "using copyrighted works from others". Alternatively, you are welcome to revise the text in your own words.

Please let me if you would like to discuss the situation. I will be watching your talk page for a time, as I find it easier to keep conversations together, but you can of course reply at my talk page if you'd prefer. --Moonriddengirl (talk) 11:44, 10 September 2008 (UTC)Reply

Ah, thank you for clearing that up for me. I need to look at the main article, then, to see when it first arrived. Just as a general note, when you split material from one article to another, please mention the split in the edit summaries for the source and destination articles. This is necessary for GFDL compliance, so that readers of the article can see in the article history who authored what. :) --Moonriddengirl (talk) 16:34, 10 September 2008 (UTC)Reply
Found it. An IP editor introduced it in 2005, and an earlier archive of the source confirms it was there first. Again, thanks for clearing that up. :) --Moonriddengirl (talk) 16:40, 10 September 2008 (UTC)Reply

Thanks for uploading Image:LausanneHClogo.png. You've indicated that the image is being used under a claim of fair use, but you have not provided an adequate explanation for why it meets Wikipedia's requirements for such images. In particular, for each page the image is used on, the image must have an explanation linking to that page which explains why it needs to be used on that page. Can you please check

  • That there is a non-free use rationale on the image's description page for each article the image is used in.
  • That every article it is used on is linked to from its description page.

Request for involvement

According to the history of the Iran-Iraq War article, you are a significant contributor to it. Therefore, I was wondering if you would like to get involved in a discussion I have started concerning a proposal to trim some sections, and move some text back into the article. The discussion can be found here: [1]. Thank you very much if you do get involved. Cheers for reading. Terrakyte (talk) 22:34, 10 January 2009 (UTC)Reply

Hi I feel that you have made unnecessary use of templates on the above titled page. It is a definitive page and the content you have separated to templates should remain on the page itself as there is no use for the templates elsewhere. Therefore the templates should be copied back over to the main page and then deleted. Please respond whether you agree or disagree.

Thanks You. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Justme54s (talkcontribs) 15:36, 28 May 2009 (UTC)Reply

A page you created has been nominated for deletion because it is a biography of a living person that is entirely negative in tone and has unsourced content, according to section G10 of the criteria for speedy deletion.
