Biographies of living persons

edit

Hi MsLolly! I wanted to say hello and introduce myself, since I reverted a couple edits you made to Zachary Bookman today. I've been trying to clean up the article due to earlier conflict of interest issues: User talk:StephLy60618#Conflict of interest on OpenGov. Are you part of a company hired by Bookman or his team to improve public materials about him? Please see the notes I put on that person's talk page.

In general, if anyone removes cited information from an article, it's important to explain why, so that other editors understand what you're trying to do. I went ahead and improved the details in the material you removed about the expedition, since it did need some improvement to fit with Wikipedia's guidelines for biographies of living persons: Wikipedia:Biographies of living persons - it needed to be more closely based in the sources, with stronger sources, since the material could be interpreted as negative.

If you add new material, it's also important to cite it to a reliable source. I found a source for one part of the biographical info you added, so I added that part back.

But if you have a conflict of interest, it's appropriate to stick to making recommendations on Talk:Zachary Bookman instead of editing the article directly. Let me know if you have questions - happy to help. Dreamyshade (talk) 21:35, 15 March 2023 (UTC)Reply

April 2023

Hello, I'm Adakiko. I noticed that in this edit to OpenGov, you removed content without adequately explaining why. In the future, it would be helpful to others if you described your changes to Wikipedia with an edit summary. If this was a mistake, don't worry, the removed content has been restored. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. Adakiko (talk) 11:14, 17 April 2023 (UTC)Reply
