Hello, I'm JimRenge. Wikipedia is written by people who have a wide diversity of opinions, but we try hard to make sure articles have a neutral point of view. Your recent edit to Buddhism seemed less than neutral to me, so I removed it for now. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. JimRenge (talk) 11:07, 10 February 2016 (UTC)Reply

Theravada is the Pure Buddhism

edit

Theravada claims to descend from a sect that left the Sangha as the Second Buddhist Council. Theravada is a heretical sect.VictoriaGraysonTalk 15:21, 10 February 2016 (UTC)Reply

Thank You for the comments.
First Buddhist council was held three months after Gautama Lord Buddha's Parinirvana(passed away) with the leadership of Great Arahant Mahakassapa Thero and King Ajātasattu was sponsored to it. All of the 500 members was great Arahant Theros(monks) who don't have any wrong views(frames). It took the monks seven months to recite the whole of the Vinaya and the Dhamma and formulate it to the Tripitaka(Pali Canon). Also the great Theros made the unanimous decision to keep all the rules of the Vinaya, even the lesser and minor rules. But the Lord Buddha has said minor rules of Vinaya can be change. Dhamma is the ultimate reality showed by the Lord Buddha. Vinaya are rules which quickly guide to the eternal happiness with fulfilling requirements(Paramita). All second and third also held by great Arahant Theros.
All I want to tell you that current Tripitaka(Pali Canon) is the same Dharma and Vinaya(except some commentaries) as formulated at the First Buddhist council which held three months after Gautama Lord Buddha's Parinirvana(passed away). So, 'Pre-sectarian Buddhism' and the Theravada Buddhism is the same thing. It is true that currently only few follow pure teachings as in Tripitaka.

Theravada is descended from a group who left the Sangha at the Second Buddhist Council. They are heretical and blasphemous.VictoriaGraysonTalk 03:10, 11 February 2016 (UTC)Reply
Dear Friend, I think you are in a wrong understanding. So, what is the name you can give to the Buddhist who follow pure teachings as in the Pali Canon? Please study about the Third Buddhist council too.

The Sthavira, whom the Theravadins descend from, left the Sangha at the Second Buddhist Council because they wanted to modify the teachings.VictoriaGraysonTalk 04:58, 11 February 2016 (UTC)Reply
VictoriaGrayson is correct. I'm afraid you're following your tradition without a critical attitude. That's your good right, but it's not the way to write an encyclopedia. Joshua Jonathan -Let's talk! 06:03, 11 February 2016 (UTC)Reply

I haven't read all of Wikipedia policies, but I think an encyclopaedia should only display important things about a subject. minor things should be there as minor. When we find the temple(or the school) which Theravada Buddhism started, it should be the temple which Great Arahant Moggaliputta-Tissa Maha Thera(or Sthavira) lived. He was the leader of third Buddhist council. When we talk about a religion temple is a minor thing. Nikāya of a monk is something like family name. Some Buddhist Nikāya may have different minor Vinaya rules. But it is not so important. We should talk about what they are following in generally. I think there should be two main categories in Buddhism. Which is the pure Buddhism as in the Tripitaka(Pali Canon) which formulated three months after the Gautama Lord Buddha's Parinirvana(passed away). Other derived versions are not teachings of the Buddha. There are some Sūtra which is not preached by the Lord Buddha(not in the Pali Canon). Followers of those Sūtra are not Buddhist. I will tell you something which pure Buddhist believe(so, this cannot put in a encyclopaedia). A Great Arahant(or Anāgāmi,Sakadagami,Sotapanna) being has perfect faith to the lord Buddha. So, they will never make any schism within the Buddhism even if their life is ending. They only teach the pure Buddha's teaching and try to protect the pure Buddha's teaching. An Arahant being has perfect understating about the 'Four Noble Truths'. But they don't have perfect knowledge in every subject like a Lord Buddha has. This is for your reference: 'The Four Noble Truths' by Ven. Professor Rerukane Chamdavimala Maha Nahimai

Hello and welcome to Wikipedia. When you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion (but never when editing articles), please be sure to sign your posts. There are two ways to do this. Either:

  1. Add four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment; or
  2. With the cursor positioned at the end of your comment, click on the signature button (  or  ) located above the edit window.

This will automatically insert a signature with your username or IP address and the time you posted the comment. This information is necessary to allow other editors to easily see who wrote what and when.

Greetings. At least one of your recent edits, such as the edit you made to Pre-sectarian Buddhism, did not appear to be constructive and has been or will be reverted or removed. Although everyone is welcome to contribute to Wikipedia, please take some time to familiarise yourself with our policies and guidelines. You can find information about these at our welcome page which also provides further information about contributing constructively to this encyclopedia. If you only meant to make some test edits, please use the sandbox for that. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you may leave a message on my talk page. Please stop your POV-pushing. Joshua Jonathan -Let's talk! 05:58, 11 February 2016 (UTC)Reply

Hello, I noticed that you may have recently made edits while logged out. Making edits while logged out reveals your IP address, which may allow others to determine your location and identity. Wikipedia's policy on multiple accounts usually does not allow the use of more than one account or IP address by one person. If this was not your intention, then please always remember to log in when editing. Thank you. JimRenge (talk) 09:26, 11 February 2016 (UTC)Reply

Please do not add original research or novel syntheses of published material to articles as you apparently did to The unanswered questions‎. Please cite a reliable source for all of your contributions. Thank you. JimRenge (talk) 04:52, 19 February 2016 (UTC)Reply

Dear JimRenge,
I did all of my edits according to the Pali Canon. I think you are reverting all of my edits without reading any references. Finally realize what is Wikipedia is. Any way you can't revert all of my edits since even I can't remember edits done by me. Some edit may have done at even in 2005 with many Japanese IPs. Any way I will continue correcting Wikipedia Buddhism pages according to the Pali Canon. If you don't like it please ask to block my account. Then I will correct without any logging. You can only stop me correcting Wikipedia Buddhism pages by putting Wikipedia as non-editable to public. Please distribute the truth.
Thanks,
Muditha

Please stop your disruptive editing, as you did at Buddhist cosmology. Your edits have been or will be reverted or removed.

Do not continue to make edits that appear disruptive until the dispute is resolved through consensus. Continuing to edit disruptively may result in your being blocked from editing. Joshua Jonathan -Let's talk! 16:31, 1 March 2016 (UTC)Reply

WP:NOTHERE

edit

Mudithachampika, you have already made clear that you don't care about Wiki-policies. These include WP:OR and WP:NPOV. I strongly advice you to take serious those poolicies, though; we're at the point of reporting you at WP:ANI, for continuous WP:DISRUPTIVE editing. Dear Joshua, You can report me at WP:ANI, for continuous WP:DISRUPTIVE editing. But distribute only the truth. Thanks, Muditha

You have been blocked indefinitely from editing because it appears that you are not here to build an encyclopedia. If you think there are good reasons why you should be unblocked, you may appeal this block by first reading the guide to appealing blocks, then adding the following text to the bottom of your talk page: {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}}.  Bishonen | talk 17:31, 1 March 2016 (UTC)Reply
  • Additional note: Mudithachampika, Wikipedia is not a vehicle for religious "truth" as any particular person (such as for example you) sees it, but is a neutral encyclopedia. Articles are supposed to be neutral and balanced, and not to promote any particular religious opinion as being "true". Since you do not wish to edit according to these principles, Wikipedia is not for you. There are many religious noticeboards that you can use instead. I have blocked you because you have continued to ignore our policies, and have even threatened above to evade any blocks, by saying "If you don't like it please ask to block my account. Then I will correct without any logging. You can only stop me correcting Wikipedia Buddhism pages by putting Wikipedia as non-editable to public." Please don't disgrace yourself by such dishonest practices. You're mistaken if you think we have no means to stop them. Bishonen | talk 17:31, 1 March 2016 (UTC).Reply
