Question about possible Conflict of Interest

edit

I noticed that you have only edited Alliance for Securing Democracy. I don't want to be accusatory, but I would appreciate if you could say whether you have a conflict of interest in editing that article. The Wikipedia guideline on conflicts of interest is here. Thank you for this, as is probably clear, I'm new and was much too cavalier in my initial edits. This is my area of study and I've used tools/research associated with the program, but I have no financial COI - I saw what seemed to me to be several factual errors which I hoped to rectify. I suppose my familiarity itself presents an issue, however. As such, I've refrained from editing since those initial edits and find the talk page a more appropriate forum for contribution. Thanks for your review of my comments, your proposals seem appropriate and I trust that if discussion and review determine that changes are necessary (and if independent sources bear them out), they'll be made. It's not just a financial ties that would constitute a problem, but if you had some sorts of ties to the organization. If you don't, then no worries, and I apologize for having to raise the question.
We can work through the issues you raised on the talk page of the article. -Thucydides411 (talk) 20:34, 14 August 2017 (UTC)Reply
