MuseeDesReves
Hello and welcome to my talk page! I'm primarily working on projects for my museum studies program at Johns Hopkins University. First up is just getting comfortable with Wikipedia.
A page you started (Conservation of South Asian household shrines) has been reviewed!
editThanks for creating Conservation of South Asian household shrines, MuseeDesReves!
Wikipedia editor Nick Moyes just reviewed your page, and wrote this note for you:
As a Leicester University Museums Studies graduate myself, I can really relate to this well-written essay on conservation practice. However, as a Wikipedia editor, I have a concern that you have somewhat missed the mark for an encyclopaedia entry. It reads too much like a chapter from a Handbook of Curatorship, and needs to be less generic. Please shorten the sections on pests, RH, light etc, instead perhaps bullet pointing them, with see also links o relevant pages. Avoid giving lengthy practical advice- see WP:NOTMANUAL, or we could have hundreds of ethnography-related conservation articles repeating the same basic information, and that's not ok. That said, well done on putting this together.
