Psycho Clown Brothers

edit

I've noticed you recently created a page on the Psycho Clown Brothers. Although I appreciate the obviously quite extensive effort you put in it, I'd recommend finding a few reliable, third party sources to indicate the notability of the RnB group. Until a reference has been added, you will find two templates indicating the lack of third party references on the page.

Without the sources, the article will probably be proposed for deletion. This would be a shame, so I encourage you to do something about it. I'd be more than welcome to help if I can. Good luck! Pim Rijkee (talk) 20:32, 18 October 2009 (UTC)Reply

Welcome, again. You can find wat Wikipedia is, and is not, here. And you should definitly read the tutorial on writing an article. Very interesting, especially for new users.

Re you article: Wikipedia wants articles that are notable: in other words, they are 'important' enough for reliable sources to write about them. So I'm afraid other Wiki sources and myspace don't count, we should be looking for (local) newspapers or reputable, indepent sites. Just did a quick search on Google, and it is gonna be hard: why is this more than a not well known, illustre, active on the internet rap/horror group?

You may well find something I didn't, but if not, you should absolutely have a look here: Wikiproject Music - the place to start if you are interested in music in any way imaginable.

Maybe have a go at editing some articles that need help before creating your very own page? Get some field experience first, get to creating your own pages later on. Very interested as to what you're gonna do, and remember: sign you posts on talk pages with four tildes: it will look like this:Pim Rijkee (talk) 20:55, 18 October 2009 (UTC)Reply

Proposed deletion of Psycho Clown Brothers

edit

The article Psycho Clown Brothers has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Article is about a music ensemble that does not meet the notabilty guidelines because of a lack of reliable sources. Searches by both the creator of the editor and User:PimRijkee have failed to produce anything more than primary sources and MySpace pages. Request for adding sources has been made, on the article page and the creator's Talk Page. The article hasn't been edited since.

While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{dated prod}} will stop the Proposed Deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. The Speedy Deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and Articles for Deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Pim Rijkee

I'm sorry mate, we both tried to find reliable sources for your article so we could keep it, but I'm afraid the PCB are just not encyclopaedia worthy (yet). As you can see in the automated message above, I've proposed your article for deletion. Read the above message and do what you think is best. If you are interested, I saved the entire code of your article in a Word document. If you want it and your article has already been deleted, drop a message at my talk page. Hope you found an interesting (existing) page you can 'adopt' here in Wikipedia, and happy editing. Kind regards, Pim Rijkee (talk) 23:14, 25 October 2009 (UTC)Reply

Here you go: [1].

By the way, don't b discouraged, everyone has had contributions deleted at some point or another.. Just make sure to have a basic understanding of what is encyclopaedia worthy.

Welcome to Wikipedia

edit

Welcome to Wikipedia. I have noticed that some of your recent genre changes have conflicted with our neutral point of view and verifiability policies. While we invite all users to contribute constructively to Wikipedia, we urge all editors to provide reliable sources for edits made. When others disagree, we recommend you to seek consensus for certain edits. Thank you. Hello, please do not remove heavy metal from Sabbath, Zeppelin, Purple, etc. related articles. These bands have all been cited as the pioneers of the genre and removing sourced content is vandalism which if continued may result in a block. Please see discussion pages if you want to make changes. Also, do not refer to editors with such offensive statements as "retard", "moron", etc., etc. uncivil behavior may also end in a block. Take care. RG (talk) 03:03, 9 February 2010 (UTC)Reply

Well if the editors weren't putting false information, it wouldn't happen. It is you and the others who are vandalising. You clearly know nothing about music.

Please refrain from changing music genres without providing a source and without establishing a consensus on the article's talk page first. Continued genre changes to suit your own point of view may result in a block. Thank you. Sir do not insult editors and make edits against sourced content. This is your final warning. RG (talk) 03:17, 9 February 2010 (UTC)Reply

Hello. In case you didn't know, when you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion, you should sign your posts by typing four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment. You may also click on the signature button   located above the edit window. This will automatically insert a signature with your username or IP address and the time you posted the comment. This information is useful because other editors will be able to tell who said what, and when. Thank you. --SineBot (talk) 03:22, 9 February 2010 (UTC)Reply

You have been blocked from editing for a period of 31 hours for treating other editors in a uncivil and demeaning manner. Once the block has expired, you are welcome to make constructive contributions. If you believe this block is unjustified, you may contest the block by adding the text {{unblock|Your reason here}} below, but you should read our guide to appealing blocks first.

When editing here, you are expected to conduct yourself in a civil fashion. This is not negotiable, so if you wish to continue contributing, then you must treat other editors with respect. caknuck ° needs to be running more often 04:20, 9 February 2010 (UTC)Reply

I will only treat people with respect if they earn it. By the way, thanks for blocking me because you think you have some kind of advantage by being an Administrator. You're lack of knowledge on music is disgusting. I should be an administrator here. Then maybe you will have a realiable information website.

I WAS BLOCKED FOR BEING RIGHT

edit

As you can see, people, I was blocked from editing articles after proving "RockGenre" wrong about something. Once again, Wikipedia comes up trumps at being the worst online information source of all time. Thank you for proving me right some more.

No, you were blocked for acting like a jerk. Nobody is going to work with you or listen to you if you insist on calling them morons. There are acceptable ways to get your message heard, and your behavior in the last two days does not exemplify any of them. Take the next day to consider that before resuming your editing. caknuck ° needs to be running more often 04:32, 9 February 2010 (UTC)Reply

There is no explaining things civally to idiots who don't grasp facts. It would appear that insults are the only things people understand on this website. You have no idea how many times I have tried to explain facts to idiots cival. They just don't grasp. And it makes me sick that the people with power on this site revert FACTS to false information and block those who try to make this place a better source.

I hope the irony of the first sentence of your last statement isn't lost on you. Block extended to 1 week, talk page privileges revoked. caknuck ° needs to be running more often 04:41, 9 February 2010 (UTC)Reply
