October 2016

edit

Hello, I'm Sundayclose. I noticed that you made a change to an article, Keke Palmer, but you didn't provide a reliable source. It's been removed and archived in the page history for now, but if you'd like to include a citation and re-add it, please do so! If you need guidance on referencing, please see the referencing for beginners tutorial, or if you think I made a mistake, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. Sundayclose (talk) 01:03, 6 October 2016 (UTC)Reply

Hello. Some of your recent genre changes, such as the one you made to Keke Palmer (EP), have conflicted with our neutral point of view and verifiability policies. While we invite all users to contribute constructively to Wikipedia, we urge all editors to provide reliable sources for edits made. When others disagree, we recommend you seek consensus for certain edits by discussing the matter on the article's talk page. Thank you. Sundayclose (talk) 01:05, 6 October 2016 (UTC)Reply

Please stop your disruptive editing. If you continue to change genres without discussion or sources, as you did at Keke Palmer (EP), you may be blocked from editing. Sundayclose (talk) 01:57, 6 October 2016 (UTC)Reply

You may be blocked from editing without further warning the next time you change genres in pages without discussion or sources, as you did at Keke Palmer (EP). Adding "citation needed" tags is NOT providing a source. CN tags are not intended to be added by yourself when you don't want to be bothered with finding a source. STOP THIS OR YOU WILL BE BLOCKED. FINAL WARNING. Sundayclose (talk) 14:54, 6 October 2016 (UTC)Reply

This is your only warning; if you vandalize Wikipedia again, as you did at The One You Call, you may be blocked from editing without further notice. Sundayclose (talk) 14:56, 6 October 2016 (UTC)Reply

This is your only warning; if you remove or blank page contents or templates from Wikipedia again, as you did at Awaken (mixtape), you may be blocked from editing without further notice. Sundayclose (talk) 14:58, 6 October 2016 (UTC)Reply

What is your problem?

edit

I don't know if your native language is not English and you have trouble understanding all of the warnings above, or you have some other problem with incompetence to edit. I don't know if you haven't taken the time to click and READ all of the policies that are blue-linked above. Or if you simply are deciding to ignore all of those policies. Your leaving meaningless comments on my talk page does not excuse your behavior. This has gone on long enough. You have been given many, many warnings, yet you continue to make problem edits. This is the last time I warn you. If you make one more unsourced edit YOU WILL BE BLOCKED FROM EDITING. Sundayclose (talk) 17:43, 6 October 2016 (UTC)Reply

Welcome to Wikipedia. Although everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia, your addition of one or more external links to the page Awaken (mixtape) has been reverted.
Your edit here to Awaken (mixtape) was reverted by an automated bot that attempts to remove links which are discouraged per our external links guideline. The external link(s) you added or changed (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=v9c88FZrxno) is/are on my list of links to remove and probably shouldn't be included in Wikipedia. If the external link you inserted or changed was to a media file (e.g. a sound or video file) on an external server, then note that linking to such files may be subject to Wikipedia's copyright policy, as well as other parts of our external links guideline. If the information you linked to is indeed in violation of copyright, then such information should not be linked to. Please consider using our upload facility to upload a suitable media file, or consider linking to the original.
If you were trying to insert an external link that does comply with our policies and guidelines, then please accept my creator's apologies and feel free to undo the bot's revert. However, if the link does not comply with our policies and guidelines, but your edit included other, constructive, changes to the article, feel free to make those changes again without re-adding the link. Please read Wikipedia's external links guideline for more information, and consult my list of frequently-reverted sites. For more information about me, see my FAQ page. Thanks! --XLinkBot (talk) 19:44, 6 October 2016 (UTC)Reply

This is your only warning; if you vandalize Wikipedia again, as you did at Torn (LeToya Luckett song), you may be blocked from editing without further notice. Sundayclose (talk) 15:29, 8 October 2016 (UTC)Reply

Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia. You appear to be repeatedly reverting or undoing other editors' contributions at I Don't Belong to You. Although this may seem necessary to protect your preferred version of a page, on Wikipedia this is known as "edit warring" and is usually seen as obstructing the normal editing process, as it often creates animosity between editors. Instead of reverting, please discuss the situation with the editor(s) involved and try to reach a consensus on the talk page.

If editors continue to revert to their preferred version they are likely to lose editing privileges. This isn't done to punish an editor, but to prevent the disruption caused by edit warring. In particular, editors should be aware of the three-revert rule, which says that an editor must not perform more than three reverts on a single page within a 24-hour period. Edit warring on Wikipedia is not acceptable in any amount, and violating the three-revert rule is very likely to lead to a loss of editing privileges. Thank you. Reliable sources

edit

I note that you have repeatedly, on many occasions and across many articles, made changes to articles based on citations to iTunes and YouTube. Please understand that these are not considered reliable sources and should not be used to cite information on Wikipedia. Specifically, you have a citation to iTunes to cite the release date of a song. This really only verifies when the song was released on iTunes, but tells us nothing about any earlier releases that might have occurred. Finally, none of the sources indicate that this is a notable song that even merits its own article. Based on this, I am reverting your edits and restoring the redirect that existed prior to your edits. Please do not re-introduce the material without reliable sources for verification. WikiDan61ChatMe!ReadMe!! 16:52, 11 October 2016 (UTC)Reply

In this edit, you wrote the edit summary:
I can see the article notable.
All sorts of people have all sorts of different ideas about what is and isn't notable. Fortunately, here at Wikipedia, we don't have to rely on our own feelings or the feelings of others to decide what is notable; we have guidelines for such things. And for songs, the guidelines are spelled out at WP:NSONG (a subsection of Wikipedia's notability guideline for musicians and music). The fact that the article does not quote a single significant source for coverage of the song, or indicate that the song has made any of the significant song charts, means that it fails those notability guidelines, and therefore does not merit inclusion at Wikipedia. Edit warring

edit

You're now involved in an edit war on The Greatest (Keke Palmer song). Multiple editors have reverted your edits on this page. Please learn what WP:CONSENSUS says about how things are done here at Wikipedia. WikiDan61ChatMe!ReadMe!! 17:40, 11 October 2016 (UTC)Reply

Once again, you have restored the article content, with no explanation why. In order to avoid an edit war, I ask you to explain, here, on this talk page, why you think this song merits inclusion at Wikipedia, and why you believe that your version, with no reliable sources, should be allowed to remain, in contradiction with Wikipedia guidelines. You have been blocked from editing for a period of 24 hours for edit warring. Once the block has expired, you are welcome to make useful contributions. If you think there are good reasons why you should be unblocked, you may appeal this block by first reading the guide to appealing blocks, then adding the following text to the bottom of your talk page: {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}}.

During a dispute, you should first try to discuss controversial changes and seek consensus. If that proves unsuccessful, you are encouraged to seek dispute resolution, and in some cases it may be appropriate to request page protection.  CambridgeBayWeather, Uqaqtuq (talk), Sunasuttuq 20:35, 11 October 2016 (UTC)Reply

Constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, but a recent edit of yours to the page Keke Palmer has an edit summary that appears to be inaccurate or inappropriate. Please use edit summaries that accurately tell other editors what you did, and feel free to use the sandbox for any tests you may want to do. Thank you.
