Egged (company) edit request

[edit source]

Thanks for reviewing my request. I am not sure why the entire request was defined as promotional. Can you give me some examples so I could rewrite the request?

Adig-pt (talk) 06:29, 4 August 2026 (UTC)Reply

Some portions seemed like they placed undue weight on promotions and PR relations. Portions like the following can be seen as promotional:

In January 2026, Egged Group unveiled a new brand identity, replacing its iconic green livery with blue. The rebranding, executed under the tagline 'Not Just a Bus Operator', reflects the company's evolution from a bus cooperative into a diversified transportation group operating buses, light rail, private shuttles, real estate, and international services in Europe.

Speficially, words like "Iconic" can be seen as puffery. - Otherwise (Antibacklog Aktion!) (talk?) 13:13, 4 August 2026 (UTC)Reply
Thanks, I'll re-write this paragraph. Perhaps you can look at the other parts of the request? I don't want to issue the entire request again and wait for months... Adig-pt (talk) 15:23, 4 August 2026 (UTC)Reply
Let me know when you rewrite it and I'll take a look if I have time.
I probably will be able to review it for you but I'd still file it as another COI edit request for the offchance that I don't. - Otherwise (Antibacklog Aktion!) (talk?) 16:15, 4 August 2026 (UTC)Reply

Thanks, I have resubmitted the COI edit request. Can you take a look when you have time? Adig-pt (talk) 14:24, 10 August 2026 (UTC)Reply
Hi, I have finished separating the edit request to 11 parts. So perhaps you can review a few of them when you have time? Adig-pt (talk) 14:18, 23 August 2026 (UTC)Reply

Diarra Kilpatrick article deletions

[edit source]

Your recent deletion of sourced relevant notable sigcon facts, and correctly sourced and attributed relevant opinions, in the Diarra Kilpatrick wiki, under a summary of "general NPOV edit", seems like a serious misunderstanding of the NPOV guidelines and of what a good wiki article includes (via sourcing). I opened a detailed Talk page discussions about why the deletes/edits are wrong. If you have reasons for deleting an appropriately sourced conveyance of the world of available notable sigcon published info (both opinions and facts), you should give the reasons in that point-by-point discussion. I also opened a separate topic going through the Neutrality test, which your deletions/NPOV edit didn't do.

Note that the single-word copy-edits mostly aren't the issue, and the actual condensing changes are fine (as opposed to deletions of appropriate relevant correctly cited uncontested info), I agree some of the exact phrasing in the earlier article was bad. It's the deletion of plain substance info, correctly sourced and cited, that is the issue.RandomEditor6772314 (talk) 00:55, 5 August 2026 (UTC)Reply

Thank you for your notifying me and for your comment on the talk page. I hope you understand that with such a substantive list of arguments, it might take me a while to appropriately respond but I promise that I will. Thanks! - Otherwise (Antibacklog Aktion!) making tracking pages on AINB

[edit source]

Hi! Thanks for making the tracking page for Aerogabs.

You can make these trackers automatically using the script at User:DVRTed/AINB-helper, and I recommend doing it that way: the resulting trackers have lots of nice added features, like buttons to update each line, lists of edits, and the option to set a start date. It's also much easier than making them by hand. M kuhner (talk) 20:09, 7 August 2026 (UTC)Reply

Wow, I wish I knew about that earlier. Well, thank you for letting me know, I really appreciate it! - Otherwise (Antibacklog Aktion!) (talk?) 20:16, 7 August 2026 (UTC)Reply
If you're going to get more into the anti-LLM business (and we would love to have you!) the list of resources at Wikipedia:WikiProject AI Cleanup/Guide and resources has some really good tools, especially section "Places and resources for cleanup".
I was also advised, under Preferences/Gadgets/Appearance, to turn on "Strike out usernames that have been blocked". Gives a rather different view of Wikipedia, sometimes a saddening one, but quite helpful in understanding article histories. Just be aware that "blocked from article space" does not show as blocked. Request for help for COI

[edit source]

Hi,

I accepted a COI and edited it slightly to remove a promotional tone.

How do I then close the request. It was this page Prosody (music).

Even when I add the template of "{{edit COI|A}}" it still doesn't change on the page Category:Wikipedia conflict of interest edit requests. What have I done wrong?

Thanks Equivalent-Text2598 (talk) 22:40, 7 August 2026 (UTC)Reply

Have you tried pressing "update this page" button near the top of the tracking page? It takes some time to automatically update so you might have to do it manually. - Otherwise (Antibacklog Aktion!) (talk?) 22:49, 7 August 2026 (UTC)Reply
Thanks, I've just tried that. For some reason I can still see it there. Equivalent-Text2598 (talk) 22:53, 7 August 2026 (UTC)Reply
I see the issue. Instead of marking the preexisting request as done, you made a new request and marked it as done. You modify the EXISTING {{edit COI}} template to be {{edit COI|A}}, not add {edit COI|A}} below the template. - Otherwise (Antibacklog Aktion!) (talk?) 22:57, 7 August 2026 (UTC)Reply
does that make sense? - Otherwise (Antibacklog Aktion!) (talk?) 22:57, 7 August 2026 (UTC)Reply
Yes that does. My bad. Thank you so much for all your help. Equivalent-Text2598 (talk) 22:59, 7 August 2026 (UTC)Reply
Happy to help! I use the COI request tool which makes answering COI requests much easier. You might also find it helpful - Otherwise (Antibacklog Aktion!) (talk?) 23:02, 7 August 2026 (UTC)Reply

August 2026

[edit source]

Hello, you recently left a citation needed template on my talk page. I rewrote it to be less promotional, but I did not find any sources for it yet, and I had left a citations needed template; the original article before my revision was way worse and was extremely promotional. However, another user blanked the page, and I had to resolve that first. I'm sure we can agree that a reversal of the current blank slate of the article to my revision would be better? CrepuscularRendezvous (talk) 15:27, 11 August 2026 (UTC)Reply

I am currently writing a response on your talk page. is it okay if we continue the conversation there? - Otherwise (Antibacklog Aktion!) (talk?) 15:28, 11 August 2026 (UTC)Reply
Yes, of course. CrepuscularRendezvous (talk) 15:29, 11 August 2026 (UTC)Reply

Just wanted to thank you for being patient with me. CrepuscularRendezvous (talk) 16:00, 11 August 2026 (UTC)Reply

Of course! If you have any other questions, feel free to ask. I might not have all the answers but I can atleast point you in the right direction. - Otherwise (Antibacklog Aktion!) (talk?) 16:28, 11 August 2026 (UTC)Reply
