Your Worms articles

edit

Hi and thanks for the entries you're making. However there are a couple of problems with them. First, to create an article that take the reader to a different article, rather than putting "See whatever" on its own in an article, please create a "redirect" page. You do this by putting

#REDIRECT whatever

on its own, then anyone accessing that page will automatically be taken to the "whatever" article by the wiki software, rather than having to click a link.

Secondly though, the "target" of the redirect ("whatever" in the example) must not itself be a redirect, so rather than putting, say #REDIRECT Worms Armageddon in the Worms United article you'd need to put #REDIRECT Worms (computer game as the Worms Armageddon article is itself a redirect to Worms (computer game). I hope that makes sense! Tonywalton  | Talk 08:35, 6 April 2006 (UTC)Reply

Space Gun manual

edit

Hi, I see from your user book that you have Space Gun for the Master System, do you have the manual for this game? If so could you let me know if there is any information regarding characters, settings, enemies or other story related items? I'm trying to expand the article but have become a bit stuck. List of DTT channels

edit

Hello,

The revert was done because it looked like it was unexplained removal of content from an IP address. There was no edit description for a start and for seconds it looks like you forgot to log in hence where the confusion lied. (Ruth-2013 (talk) 00:07, 30 July 2011 (UTC))Reply

BBC Parliament.

edit

Hi Muzer,

Hope you don't mind but I had to change your edits slightly. On page 3 second sentence from bottom of the bbc trust document they have released it states BBC Parliament will only show a slate during the games which is posh speak for a MHEG caption. This means bbc threes normal night time slot will be empty during the games. It also means BBC Parliament will not be active on freeview at all during the time bbc three uses its bandwidth. The reason behind this is obvious though Parliament is normally in recess during this time so BBC Parliament will more then likely be full of repeats at this time. (Ruth-2013 (talk) 20:53, 15 August 2011 (UTC))Reply

Yeah, that's fine, I misinterpreted the article. I'm perfectly happy when people correct things that are wrong - just not when they make things wrong that are already correct :p --Muzer (talk) 21:17, 19 August 2011 (UTC)Reply

To join simply add your name to the Confirmed participants section using three tidles (~~~). - Jasmeet_181 (talk) 13:59, 31 August 2011 (UTC)Reply

Unable to edit

edit

admin help I am unable to edit Wikipedia when at school (IP = 46.60.252.69), even when logged in like I am now. I get an error about it being an open proxy - but I'm pretty sure my school's system isn't configured as an open proxy (if it was, I'm sure it'd be abused a lot). We do HAVE a proxy server, yes, that can be accessed by most schools in the area, but not by the general public as far as I know. I'd appreciate it if you could verify this. Muzer (talk) 07:33, 27 September 2011 (UTC)Reply

It doesn't look to me as though this is likely to be an open proxy. I will refer this to the WikiProject on open proxies, and also consult the blocking administrator. In the meanwhile I will give you temporary IP block exemption. JamesBWatson (talk) 10:11, 27 September 2011 (UTC)Reply
The IP range has now been unblocked, so I hope you will have no more trouble. I have removed the IP block exemption, as it is no longer necessary. JamesBWatson (talk) 07:45, 29 September 2011 (UTC)Reply
Thanks for your help :) - I do expect the IP will have to be blocked from anonymous editing though (it's shared by a few secondary schools in the area as I said) Muzer (talk) 08:59, 29 September 2011 (UTC)Reply
Yes. Unblocking the IP range led to a flood of vandalism, so that it has been blocked again, but for anonymous editing only, not for registered accounts. That is what should have been done in the first place, which would have saved a good deal of trouble for quite a few people. JamesBWatson (talk) 13:02, 29 September 2011 (UTC)Reply
