Mvcervi
Hi, This is My Talk page.
October 2021
editHello Mvcervi. The nature of your edits gives the impression you have an undisclosed financial stake in promoting a topic, but you have not complied with Wikipedia's mandatory paid editing disclosure requirements. Paid advocacy is a category of conflict of interest (COI) editing that involves being compensated by a person, group, company or organization to use Wikipedia to promote their interests. Undisclosed paid advocacy is prohibited by our policies on neutral point of view and what Wikipedia is not, and is an especially serious type of COI; the Wikimedia Foundation regards it as a "black hat" practice akin to black-hat search-engine optimization.
Paid advocates are very strongly discouraged from direct article editing, and should instead propose changes on the talk page of the article in question if an article exists. If the article does not exist, paid advocates are extremely strongly discouraged from attempting to write an article at all. At best, any proposed article creation should be submitted through the articles for creation process, rather than directly.
Regardless, if you are receiving or expect to receive compensation for your edits, broadly construed, you are required by the Wikimedia Terms of Use to disclose your employer, client and affiliation. You can post such a mandatory disclosure to your user page at User:Mvcervi. The template {{Paid}} can be used for this purpose – e.g. in the form: {{paid|user=Mvcervi|employer=InsertName|client=InsertName}}
. If I am mistaken – you are not being directly or indirectly compensated for your edits – please state that in response to this message. Otherwise, please provide the required disclosure. In either case, do not edit further until you answer this message. MarioGom (talk) 20:26, 27 October 2021 (UTC)
Hi Mario, thank you for your message. I disclosed on my talk page, please take a look at it and let me know if I need to do any further modifications. Mvcervi (talk) 07:18, 28 October 2021 (UTC)
Please, give me feedback whenever you can. I am researching a topic of my interest and I would like to contribute to that in the future (no COI) Mvcervi (talk) 07:34, 28 October 2021 (UTC)
Lee Joo-sung moved to draftspace
editAn article you recently created, Lee Joo-sung, is not suitable as written to remain published. It needs more citations from reliable, independent sources. (?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:
" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's general notability guideline and thus is ready for mainspace, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page. MarioGom (talk) 22:42, 28 October 2021 (UTC)
Hi MarioGom, I will work on the article before submitting it for review. However, I have a question. What do you mean with more citations from reliable, independent sources? Is there any problem with the citations I have made? Please, let me know your feedback since it is important for me to improve in the future. Regards, Mvcervi (talk) 08:20, 1 November 2021 (UTC)
- Mvcervi: WP:RS explains these concepts. Currently in the article:
- https://www.bloomberg.com/profile/person/18938715 while business directories might be usable as sources, they are not in-depth coverage, and do not count towards establishing notability of the article.
- https://www.weforum.org/people/joosung-lee/ biography excerpt on organizations where the subject is a member are not independent sources.
- Other sources do not discuss Lee Joo-sung beyond some passing mentions. The article needs reliable, independent sources with significant coverage of the subject. MarioGom (talk) 21:50, 1 November 2021 (UTC)
Thank you,MarioGom How about adding citations in a language other than English (in this case Korean). Would they count to support the article and as a source of notability? Mvcervi (talk) 05:03, 5 November 2021 (UTC)
- Yes, non-English sources are valid, assuming they are reliable (like a newspaper). MarioGom (talk) 07:45, 5 November 2021 (UTC)
