WITF changes
thanks for all of your help with cleaning up the copy. This is the first time I’ve been simultaneously editing so I got confused there for a bit. As for the curly quotes I am sure that is because I am using my iPhone at the moment to make the fixes. I’ll be careful about that next time. Thanks, again! Dhugot (talk) 17:05, 30 March 2020 (UTC)

Sale of WMGM-TV to broadcaster.
Will WMGM-TV be sold to an actual broadcaster (not repeater Univision) due to a need for increased Coronavirus coverage in South Jersey? Univision is just a repeater, not a broadcaster of original or news content. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 96.248.75.84 (talk) 01:13, 3 April 2020 (UTC)

Please do not attack other editors, as you did at KABC-TV. Comment on content, not on contributors. Personal attacks damage the community and deter users. Please stay cool and keep this in mind while editing. Do not leave uncivil edit summaries, as you did here. Miniapolis 15:56, 11 January 2020 (UTC)

I would like to know why you keep taking off actual dates to the new upcoming frequency channel changes.
I have been adding them because the TV station(s) has made there official announcements to the public so they know they need to rescan their TV's so they can continue to enjoy their favorite TV stations programming on or after that date posted if they don't have cable or satellite.
The dates I am adding are 100% verified and have been officially announced to the public.
I appreciate all your hard work and dedication that you put into Wikipedia and if my edits need to be cleaned up by you that's fine but I would like to see the dates of the channel change kept on here that I post please so public that utilizes Wikipedia to verify that information and to see what channel they're changing to knows the information is legit.
Thanks, Dsnow79
- @Dsnow79: Wikipedia is not a crystal ball. Also, you forgot to sign your post, and you need to work on your spelling and punctuation. Mvcg66b3r (talk) 05:43, 20 January 2020 (UTC)
Markup edit
Hey, your attempt to help is appreciated but in this case unnecessary. If your goal was to ping the editor, then that's already taken care of by virtue of it being a post on their talk page (and repeatedly pinging them could be seen as rude). Additionally, the ping won't fire unless you also add a four-tilda signature in the same edit as the ping. If your goal was just to make it a hyperlink, I'm not sure that's necessary because again, it's their talk page. signed, Rosguill talk 21:18, 6 April 2020 (UTC)
The file File:New WRBW logo 2019.jpg has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:
unused, low-res, no obvious use
While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.
You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated files}}

Please consider addressing the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated files}}
will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and files for discussion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion.

Neighborhoods
For future reference, please note that the naming convention for city neighbourhoods does not invariably require the city name to be present in the article title. Rather, the rule is that a neighbourhood goes at "Neighbourhood, City" if disambiguation is required — but a neighbourhood which either has a unique name, or is the clear WP:PRIMARYTOPIC for its name, is still allowed to be at just "Neighbourhood" without any disambiguation at all. So if you think that Don Mills should lose its existing primary topic status, then you're welcome to post a move request proposing that it be moved to Don Mills, Toronto — but you can't just move it arbitrarily, because there's no rule that it's automatically required to have "Toronto" in its title just because it's a neighbourhood. And furthermore, even if it were to be moved to the disambiguated title, all the links that are pointing to it at the existing title would have to be retargeted to the new title so that the plain one could become a disambiguation page — which is one of the central reasons why a move like that would have to be discussed first, because doing it properly involves a lot more than just moving the page and walking away without doing any of the followup work. CBAT-DT
About the edit you made to CBAT-DT, I had to remove the info that was in the Former Affiliations section of the article infobox because it was not sourced - that edit originally dates back to February 29 and was made by this IP editor using the same type of poorly-written edit summary used by Mikedonald711, who was blocked in 2016 for repeatedly making unsourced (i.e. having no proof to back his claims) and poorly-written edits (as well as for block evasion using IPs), leading me to conclude that this editor is an IP sock of Mikedonald711. On that basis, would you return it to the edit I set it to before? 2001:569:BD1A:CD00:9498:6CC2:3984:A0BC (talk) 02:10, 18 April 2020 (UTC)
- I have indeed reverted this on behalf of the IP; @JamesHSmith6789:, this would have been in the article body years before if it was surely true and easily sourceable, but it suddenly popped in on 2/28 from a random IP who used nonsensical English and proved to utilize socks. It stays out without a very solid source. Nate • (chatter) 01:59, 23 April 2020 (UTC)
- @Mrschimpf: Apologies, while this was a while back, it looked like I might've misinterpreted it for an edit war (for whatever reason) and had undone the edit. Many thanks for resolving this. JamesHSmith6789 (talk) 10:14, 23 April 2020 (UTC)
Canadian TV stations
Hi, I am asking you a favor so could you do follow all of the Canadian television articles. I am taking care of all of the Canadian television articles everyone has the right edit on most of the Canadian television articles. Also, do not put italics on Canadian television articles. So I repeat, could you unfollow all of the Canadian televsion station articles but only follow American television articles. I haven't edit on all of the Canadian television articles and as long as I edit carefully I am OK. This is an urgent message. Reply me back to unfollow all Canadian television station articles. Thanks. 2001:569:74D2:A800:9C63:9D9D:A210:EC06 (talk) 20:51, 25 April 2020 (UTC)
- Also, I almost forgot, you're remove provincial links on all Canadian television articles. I still want to keep on all Canadian province on all Canadian television articles, Do not put italics and and do not remove Canadian provincial links. I am scared you're restoring edits. Please put edits on hold so I want a resolution with you. OK? And I apologize. 2001:569:74D2:A800:9C63:9D9D:A210:EC06 (talk) 21:00, 25 April 2020 (UTC)
- I edit carefully too; I follow the Manual of Style. You are supposed to use italics on the titles of all TV programs, including newscasts (see MOS:ITALICS). As with city/province links, I changed those to avoid overlinking, or a "sea of blue". As BlueboyLI told me, "Connecticut is not needed after Hartford, Connecticut. Please familiarize yourself with the following information on when to link" (see here.) Mvcg66b3r (talk) 21:01, 25 April 2020 (UTC)
- The provincial links are not OVERLINKING all of the 10 Canadian provinces did not have "OVERLINK"s, the 50 states remove links per OVERLINKING guidelines. Is it possible, I will restore the Italics on Canadian TV news titles by myself? Thank you in advance. 2001:569:74D2:A800:9C63:9D9D:A210:EC06 (talk) 21:05, 25 April 2020 (UTC)
- I almost forgot, don't worry about it. I am here to help you for a resolution. 2001:569:74D2:A800:9C63:9D9D:A210:EC06 (talk) 21:07, 25 April 2020 (UTC)
- I have restored some edits. The 10 Canadian provincial links is "questionable" so all 10 provincial links are not "overlinking" and it's still unresolved. Will see if they allow provincial links to be allowed that are not overlinkings. I avoid the Canada link. Thank you in advance. 2001:569:74D2:A800:9C63:9D9D:A210:EC06 (talk) 21:23, 25 April 2020 (UTC)

CHMI-DT/CHWI-DT
Please do not restore city of licence "Portage la Prairie" goes under "Location". It you look at the "Tempolate:Infobox Broadcast" under "city" the link for city would say "city of license" so "Portage la Prairie" would go under city and "Winnipeg, Manitoba" goes under "Location". The location goes under a primary Canadian city television market. You're reverting by mistake, everyone has the right to edit. This one wants a resolution too. Reply this urgent message ASAP. - By the way, you make Steam5 very upset. Usser:Steam5 is temporary inactive to do some COVID-19 related articles for urgent edits. - I have cleaned and restored some edits but the city link under "city of license" is questionable. For CHMI-DT, The Portage la Prairie link goes under "City" not "Location" and Winnipeg, Manitoba goes under location, and CHWI-DT, The Wheatley, Ontario link goes under "City" not "Location", Windsor, Ontario goes under location goes for a primary television market "location". I have apologize and City of License Portage la Prairie and Wheatley, Ontario goes under City of license with the word "City". I have hevily apologize. Will you still help me resolve this? Thanks. 2001:569:74D2:A800:40BA:A3D8:4687:330D (talk) 23:16, 25 April 2020 (UTC)
- In the "Location" field, the city of licence is listed first ("Wheatley/Windsor, Ontario") and both cities are wikilinked. In the "City" field, only the city of license is listed ("Wheatley, Ontario") and it is not wikilinked. This is following the format of U.S. station articles. - Mvcg66b3r, I have heavily apologize for rapidly faster edits on TV articles. I would never happen like this this instant. Will you accept my apology? If yes. I will do better than that next time. 2001:569:74D2:A800:40BA:A3D8:4687:330D (talk) 23:44, 25 April 2020 (UTC)
- Everything is resolved, I restore it myself. Will you still forgive me on rapid edits? If yes, just ignore other IPs with the 2001. I will do better than that next time. Thanks in advance. I hope it will be resolve quickly. All the best. 2001:569:74D2:A800:40BA:A3D8:4687:330D (talk) 23:47, 25 April 2020 (UTC)
