Madonna's tour
editYes, I've met those insanely loyal fanboys in other places where Madge is being discussed online - not as if you have to look very strenuously to find them! Check out the Madonna board at IMDB (right under her entry on the site), it has the same brand of diehard fans, and some of them might even be the same individuals as here. They just exult in repeating everything her publicists and media buddies say about her, however ludicrous.
I've wondered sometimes what it is that inspires this fanatical loyalty. She doesn't care about her fans except as consumers, and not at all as persons, she demands ridiculous prices and then doesn't bother to sing live or to present her music in an inventive way. It's as if they enjoy being flogged and humiliated but staunchly repeating how fantastic she is because she can (afford to) be this cold and, like, fabulous - and, of course, because she started from such humble beginnings, that's part of the myth.
I'll keep an eye on the article and try to reinsert stuff now and then but honestly I'm tired of this kind of shadow boxing with effectively anonymous users who have unlimited time at their disposal to plough the internet and look for soundbites they can cite, because they don't have a full-time job or a family. There's something fundamentally wrong with the way WP handles the assessment, phrasing, updating and verifiability of content when you have this kind of fanboys and mouthpieces regularly hijacking articles and gaming the editing rules.Strausszek (talk) 01:18, 29 July 2012 (UTC)
- It is their religion and their feeble flase God that upholds their shallow universe where the 'devil' is automatically Lady Gaga. But Wikipedia is not a place for idol worship.MysticMuffin (talk) 10:59, 29 July 2012 (UTC)
Your desired change at MDNA Tour goes against the guideline at WP:BLP, especially the parts about "Tone" and "Reliable sources". Please refrain from introducing poorly sourced text that has an angry tone. Binksternet (talk) 15:27, 4 August 2012 (UTC)
- Oh my God, I'm heartly sorry for having offended Thee And I detest all my sins. Because I dread the loss of heaven. And the pain of hell But most of all, because I love Thee and I want so badly to be good.MysticMuffin (talk) 16:49, 4 August 2012 (UTC)
