A mistake in a wiki page[1]
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_Bangladesh_companies when we click the name ORION Group it directs us to a different company. ORION Group Bangladesh is leading conglomerate employimg 20,000 people. The famous brand tibbet , ORION Pharma, construction OF 10.8KM Gulistan-Jatrabari Flyover is amongst its portfolio. It has also bulit the tallest building in Bangladesh,37 floor tall City Center. [2] we have mention of ORION Group also in this page. Many of our foreign clients have mentioned this matter. I tried to make my own article but was deleted. I Can provide the relevant information and references so that this error can be rectified. please visit:[3] for further information — Preceding unsigned comment added by Khondker Rifat Hossain (talk • contribs) 06:23, 22 October 2011 (UTC)
- irrelevant place to post. neither do I maintain that article nor I do manage some wiki-project about that. Hell, I'm no-where near an admin, bureaucrat or anything especially entitled by the community. So, please, check and discuss through relevant talk pages. I'm sorry that, I'm extremely busy to help you about all these.

Poodle intelligence
I have corrected the lead-in for the poodle article as per your suggestion. gmipTalk 07:35, 23 November 2011 (UTC)

Declined CSD nominations.
I have declined your CSD nominations on Better by design. There is reasonable claims of notability and being discussed in multiple reliable sources. The article also is not explicitly promotional in attempting to sell a government program. An analog would be the Energy Star program. If you still think it is important to delete this article please file an AfD request. Hasteur (talk) 18:12, 9 December 2011 (UTC)
- I CSD'd it not because of its mare notability issue but induced by its advertise-like prose. Often we have to re-do articles from scratch, even by deleting them for its improper initiation. I'm not going for a AfD right away as I see there are some concerned editors all along. If this article fails to turn into a credible one it may go into AfD by me or someone else. Till then, let it breath for good. — 19:39, 9 December 2011 (UTC)
Disambiguation link notification
Hi. When you recently edited Surya Sen, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Bengali (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

Reversion of Wikitable formatting
Sorry, I am not familiar with the recommended styles for wikitables; your edit was on a page that receives a lot of vandalism, particularly deletions, and the colouring that was deleted appeared to be useful. No need to threaten an edit war. Nadiatalent (talk) 15:50, 28 December 2011 (UTC)
- Thanks for you response on my talk page. It is good to know that you are working on pages to do with Bangladesh. Best wishes, 17:57, 28 December 2011 (UTC)
Segs4Vets
Hello, I just signed onto wikipedia and saw the note about the speedy deletion that you tag for Segs4Vets. I was not able to make any corrections to assist in the article before deleted. The speedy deletion was tag on Dec 30 and today I checked wikipedia on Dec 31 and it was already deleted. I modeled the Segs4Vets article after Wounded Warrior Project. Why was SegsVets deleted and not Wounded Warrior Project? Nafsadh, I would like make the Segs4Vets apart of the wikipedia community. Thank you DavidMinhPham (talk) 17:21, 31 December 2011 (UTC)
Invitation to events: bot, template, and Gadget makers wanted
I thought you might want to know about some upcoming events where you can learn more about MediaWiki customization and development, extending functionality with JavaScript, the future of ResourceLoader and Gadgets, the new Lua templating system, how to best use the web API for bots, and various upcoming features and changes. We'd love to have power users, bot maintainers and writers, and template makers at these events so we can all learn from each other and chat about what needs doing.
Check out the Chennai event in March, the Berlin hackathon in June, the developers' days preceding Wikimania in July in Washington, DC, or any other of our events.
Best wishes! - Sumana Harihareswara, Wikimedia Foundation's Volunteer Development Coordinator. Please reply on my talk page, here or at mediawiki.org. Sumanah (talk) 14:48, 16 February 2012 (UTC)

speedy
I have removed your A7 speedy tag on several articles.
The criterion does not apply to any article that makes any credible claim of significance or importance. Asserting someone is a professor in a university or the author of a book, other than a self-published book, is a plausible indication of importance. Some of the articles you marked are , in fact, actually notable, a much higher standard--see WP:PROF, and WP:AUTHOR.
Be careful with articles on people that have corresponding articles in their national language Wikipedias--sometimes the articles may indeed not be justified, or may meet their standards but not ours, but usually they are valid, and for most of the European language encyclopedias, our notability standards are broader.
Speedy A7 has nothing to do with notability, and the guideline deliberately avoids using the term. Any good faith indication of importance is sufficient. DGG ( talk ) 20:16, 10 March 2012 (UTC)
Edits of Prophets of Islam
I would like to encourage both you and Shaad lko to stop reverting each others edits and consult policy before proceeding with edits to Prophets of Islam. Both you and Shaad lko have been around long enough to know edit warring is against Wikipedia policy.
Now, as for the inclusion of the term "paraclete", it does not seem appropriate in light of Wikipedia's neutrality guidelines to include that right next to His name without qualification or context. On the other hand, I do see it as entirely appropriate to include cited sources including the notable position of belief that Muhammad is the paraclete. Peter Deer (talk) 05:56, 13 April 2012 (UTC)
- I have similar opinion and have considered all of those that you mentioned here, but could not avoid being on war on the ground: "the inclusion of the term "paraclete", it does not seem appropriate in light of Wikipedia's neutrality guidelines to include that right next to His name without qualification or context". Try reading: what I posted on talk. --06:05, 13 April 2012 (UTC)

Let us discuss the issue of where to link the Prophets' names in the Prophets in Islam article. I have opened a new section here. Shaad lko (talk) 02:59, 29 April 2012 (UTC)

IEEE technical societies
If you are a member of one or more of the IEEE technical societies, you may wish to identify yourself as such on Wikipedia. I’ve created Wikipedian categories for each of the 38 IEEE technical societies. The new Template:User IEEE member creates a userbox identifying the society and your membership grade and includes your user page in the relevant Wikipedian category. If you have any questions, feel free to drop me a note. Yours aye, Buaidh 19:19, 11 December 2013 (UTC) — IEEE Life Member
- Also, thanks for your work on the userbox so that I can more specifically classify my geekery. Kjtobo (talk) 21:48, 11 December 2013 (UTC)
- I think there had been a userbox for the same purpose for longer Template:User_IEEE_Society, which I am using. On top of that, your work is better and provides a lot more feats. However, I'd like to note that, IEEE Computer Society generally uses the "CS" rather than Comp, so the Comp version shall be changed to CS. --22:54, 11 December 2013 (UTC)

Orphaned non-free image File:CU logo.png
Thanks for uploading File:CU logo.png. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).
Note that any non-free images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described in the criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. Stefan2 (talk) 14:44, 13 March 2014 (UTC)

Cookies
Thank you for the Welcome. I was asked to create a new user name by an editor as my old one (working since 2006) seemed to be an issue -- rehsgal --- and I seem to be having some difficulty with articles I posted on Wikipedia many years ago. Might I be able to enlist your help with the resolution of these issues? If so, would you mind looking at emile munier and rehs galleries, inc.. These articles have been active on Wikipedia for years (one since 2006 and the other since 2009) and now one editor seems to find fault with them -- one is scheduled for deletion and in the other all the text was removed (actually, I just looked at the Rehs entry and it is completely gone!). Both were written and accepted with the full disclosure of my connection and as far as I was informed previously, were not done in any self-serving way. I am also not sure how an article on a 19th century artist can be self-serving?
I would greatly appreciate your thoughts since you appear to be a major contributor to Wikipedia and probably have a great depth of knowledge regarding articles. The editor who has found fault with my entries is ... https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/User:DissidentAggressor.
If this is not something you care to be involved with, I completely understand and thank you for your time.
Gulakos (talk) 16:52, 7 August 2014 (UTC)
Need to make a correction ... it appears that the editor in question changed the official name of the firm to Rehs Galleries from Rehs Galleries, Inc.
Saheb Qiblah Fultali

- Your message translates into "Whassup? Hey <derogatory address>mia</derogatory address>which party do you support. <abusive tone>Name of Shaheb fultali burns you?</abusive tone>"
- My answer is: Please be civil, and no I never heard of him before. --16:11, 9 August 2014 (UTC)
- I am civil. Moreover "mia" is not a derogatory address. However your translation contains some mistakes, you had to write "Shaheb fultali's name does burn you"? 217.42.231.31 (talk) 20:25, 9 August 2014 (UTC) — Preceding unsigned comment added by 109.149.79.41 (talk)
Afd closing provisions
I have backed-out your closure of Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Saheb Qiblah Fultali because you were a participant in the discussion. Please familiarise yourself with the provisions regarding closure of Afds. In particular look at #5. If closure is obvious, a nonparticipant will close the discussion. --Bejnar (talk) 19:06, 11 August 2014 (UTC)
- Thanks for your comment. As, I did not vote, but only commented, I understood that I am qualified to close as a non-participant non-admin user. --19:31, 11 August 2014 (UTC)
- Nope. --Bejnar (talk) 19:37, 11 August 2014 (UTC)
- Duly noted :D. Can you please also restore the AfD tag in the related article? --19:38, 11 August 2014 (UTC)
- No need, as the Afd was appropriately closed almost immediately by a nonparticipant, before I could get to the page and talk page. --Bejnar (talk) 14:27, 12 August 2014 (UTC)
- Seen that. Thanks anyway. --14:30, 12 August 2014 (UTC)

Regarding Edits to Ahom and Mughal Empire
Hello Nafsadh. I would like to ask you to please stop reverting my edits to the Mughal Empire and Ahom pages. What I added to the status box corresponds to what is in each of the respective articles. The Mughal Empire's defeat left it under British Control as a protectorate in 1764 until the Maratha restored the Emperor in Delhi under their protection in 1772, remaining so until the British reestablished their control in 1803. The Mughal Emperor would remain under their effective control until the rebellion of 1857, when the emperor was selected to be the leader of the rebellion. After the fall of Delhi later that year, the Mughal Empire came to an end. As for Ahom, it was under Burmese control briefly in 1817, in 1819-1820, and finally from 1821-1825. In 1825 the British took control of Ahom from the Burmese, and the treaty in 1826 cemented their hold over the region. This information is summarized within the respected articles, as well as the articles about the country's respective rulers. The information I added is relevant, and since it is already sourced in the article, there is no need to add any more sources. Just leave the information as it is, and let's not start an edit war. Thank you. Toolen (talk) 03:27, 22 August 2014 (UTC)

ANI notification
Hi, I mentioned your name at ANI here Wikipedia:Administrators' noticeboard/Incidents#Abuse of deletion process so performing the mandatory notification. Cheers. Nil Einne (talk) 16:02, 5 September 2014 (UTC)
Since you didn't respond at WP:ANI, I am not sure whether you saw this reposnse or not. I think it is important enough that I repeat it here so I know you see it.
“ | You should go back and read WP:BLPPROD again. It says you can only add a BLPPROD to an article if it has no sources in any form. The reliable source portion only kicks in when sources are added after a BLPPROD is on the article. If there are any sources in any form that confirm any information in the article then a BLPPROD can not be added. There were sources in the article that confirmed information (reliability of those sources have nothing to do with it) so a BLPPROD was inappropriate. You were absolutely wrong to add a BLPPROD to the article. | ” |
BLPPROD is unique in that any source, reliable or not, that confirms any information in the article precludes the addition of a BLPPROD. To remove a BLPPROD that has been added to an article without any sources requires at least one reliable source. GB fan 12:06, 7 September 2014 (UTC)
