Sonata Arctica discography

After seeing you do the Vader discography, I would like you to "soup up" the Sonata Arctica discography as well. I'm not big on discographies so I don't know the formats of WP:DISCOG very well. Thanks in advance. −₪ÇɨгcaғucɨҲ₪ kaiden 02:53, 10 November 2008 (UTC)

Well I saw you working on Vader's discography and I know that you work on discographies so I wanted you to make Sonata Arctica discography look decent. I didn't ask you to explain to me how to do anything. Hope this makes more sense now. −₪ÇɨгcaғucɨҲ₪ kaiden 05:55, 10 November 2008 (UTC)
Thank you. I appreciate your work. :) −₪ÇɨгcaғucɨҲ₪ kaiden 20:58, 11 November 2008 (UTC)

Vader

You're more than welcome. I'm glad someone is tackling all these discographies--I don't have the patience (or the expertise) for them. BTW, if you have a minute, look at my edits on the Vader main article, compare to the old version, and see what you think. Drmies (talk) 03:40, 10 November 2008 (UTC)

I know lots of sources are necessary--but that goes for pretty much all the death metal band articles... And I will leave that sort of work to more knowledgable others: my project currently is to proofread all the articles listen on List of death metal bands. Take care, Drmies (talk) 04:18, 10 November 2008 (UTC)
I'm sorry if you feel that someone proofreading Wikipedia articles "isn't good." I can assure you that lots of pages do need proofreading, and since the amount of time I can spend on WP is limited, I chose to do what I do best. Drmies (talk) 15:00, 10 November 2008 (UTC)
Gotcha. Now I see--I was wondering what you were thinking! That's right, I only go through these articles for grammar, punctuation, and such, and I will look for sources whenever I can. But as you know better than anyone, I imagine, the verifiable world of metal isn't that big. There's a couple of webzines and a few online magazines, and if you really want to source an article properly (like you did for the Sepultura discography), you have to be an insider of sorts. (And by the way, you absolutely deserve that star.) So I go through the list, cleaning up, removing all-too obvious POV, adding sources when I can, standardizing band member lists and (basic) discographies, and correcting spelling and punctuation. It's a very limited project, I grant you that, but it's the kind of stuff I can do in between other assignments. Alright, back to work. Thanks for your response. Drmies (talk) 15:17, 10 November 2008 (UTC)

Kenny Rogers Discography

Since your rating the discography as a "Start" level, I've literally taken this discography under my wing and started to put together all of the album pages that are missing from Kenny's discography. While I have done no real editing to the discography itself yet (going through albums, currently just finished the 1980 Greatest Hits album), what I would be interested in is any guidance on things you think might help improve the list page to what might someday become a C, B, A, or even a FL. I have checked one example of an FL (Carrie Underwood's discography) and found hers quite complete, having only two albums and many fans who have tracked her every move; thus, nothing is missing. This is harder to do for someone active since the 1960s. What do you suggest?

I will be following the dashes idea (in columns where data is not known), and I may be able to form a list of videos (though some singles might not have videos, that's hard to say unless I can prove otherwise). Clearly, every single album must have a page linked (current project) and no albums can be missed from Kenny's career. What else do you advise?

Final question for now; has it moved above the Start level yet?

I shall continue happily editing in the meantime.

CycloneGU (talk) 03:22, 12 November 2008 (UTC)

Cheers for your reply. I might try looking in the local library and see if I can find anything from Kenny. Not sure since I'm in Canada, but who knows?

Bruce Dickinson discography

I'm gonna need some help w/ that discography, think you could help? cum'on bro... take a look at my sandbox, you know you're one of the best at these type of things. "regards" ;)  Rockk3r Spit it Out! 04:21, 14 November 2008 (UTC)

I didn't want to have to bother you as you're busy with other articles, but there are some stuffs I can't find, so here I am, I need your help on this disco. I saw you added France to the charts, I removed it, because it only charted the very last album, at 101 (didn't even enter the hunderd), it was only on the charts for 2 weeks So i thought it would only make the table look ugly. Again, I need your help finding the official release dates of some albums, and also some other stuffs I couldn't find.  Rockk3r Spit it Out! 05:05, 25 November 2008 (UTC)

How do you find the catalog numbers? Like the one for "The Best of Bruce Dickinson".  Rockk3r Spit it Out! 05:35, 26 November 2008 (UTC)

That was a good one hahaha! I'm serious now man, I get frustrated when I spend too mcuh time trying to find all the info and I can't.  Rockk3r Spit it Out! 05:41, 26 November 2008 (UTC)

You're right, but sometimes it helps a little. Anyways, seems like no site has the official release date for "Tattooed Millionaire", "Balls to Piccasso" and "Alive in Studio A"  Rockk3r Spit it Out! 05:53, 26 November 2008 (UTC)

Hey, take a quick look over here and tell me if you think everything it's ready, except for the lead, which I'm about to start working on. Just look at the rest of the disco and tell me your opinion.  Rockk3r Spit it Out! 19:15, 16 December 2008 (UTC)

What you mean pt. 1 of 150?? That it needs more reviews, yeah I know haha. Well thanks gain Cannibaloki.  Rockk3r Spit it Out! 20:36, 16 December 2008 (UTC)

No idea where you put it  Rockk3r Spit it Out! 20:45, 16 December 2008 (UTC)

Found it Rockk3r Spit it Out! 20:46, 16 December 2008 (UTC)

Fixed almost everything, except for a few things. All I fixed has been striked, so that you can see what I didn't understand well. Rockk3r Spit it Out! 21:11, 16 December 2008 (UTC)

Tell me which are the songs that I should remove from the "other appearancea" section. I'll find the references for the rest.  Rockk3r Spit it Out! 21:38, 16 December 2008 (UTC)

Mmmmm, that info about the Smason albums, would be better on an article for Samson's discography especifically. Let's better leave in this page the discography of Bruce Dickinsons (solo career). Not like a copy-and-paste from other articles. Samon's disco will be placed in an article for their own disco. What you say?  Rockk3r Spit it Out! 23:21, 16 December 2008 (UTC)

I mean, we're just making the article even longer by taking info that's already on their respective discography. When you go to Bruce Dickinson (the actual article), you'll see the discography Iron Maiden, Bruce Dickinson (solo, and Samson. Each one tells you "for more info about the disco, see... etc" Just by going to Dickinson's article you see a link to maiden's disco, there's no need to copy that info and paste it on "Bruce Dickinson discography".

This is like saying Blaze Bayley (band) (or BLAZE) discography, the discography of BLAZE, not all of Bayley's works. Do you understand what I mean? Rockk3r Spit it Out! 23:30, 16 December 2008 (UTC)

Fixed everything from your review. Now tell me what songs should I leave on the "other appearances" section, and which should I withdraw.  Rockk3r Spit it Out! 21:07, 17 December 2008 (UTC)

As always, all you found wrong was fixed. Take a look. On the "other appearances" the refs come from allmusic, except for a couple which I couldn't find in there, or didn't reference what I was looking For. The pne for Bean the movie, couldn't find it on any "reliable" site. Rockk3r Spit it Out! 02:18, 18 December 2008 (UTC)

I uploaded it to the actual page Bruce Dickinson discography. It still needs work on the lead. Hey, f you could find some of his chart positions in Canada and countries like that, it would be terrific, because I can't find anymore info. Rockk3r Spit it Out! 23:12, 22 December 2008 (UTC)

Diamond Rio discography

Why did you just revery that edit without an explanation? Carrie Underwood discography has the country peaks first and it's FL as well. Ten Pound Hammer and his otters • (Broken clamshellsOtter chirpsHELP) 21:56, 15 November 2008 (UTC)

I'd rather not lose my time answering you. See below, this is really an abuse. Cannibaloki 23:49, 15 November 2008 (UTC)
How is this abuse? I just asked you why you changed something without discussion first and reverted it. No one else had a problem with the country peaks being first — and besides, they have mostly country hits. WP:CHARTS has no policy on the order of charts, but most other discographies list them by relevance of charts. Ten Pound Hammer and his otters • (Broken clamshellsOtter chirpsHELP) 01:02, 16 November 2008 (UTC)

Diamond Rio discography

Hi, why'd you revert TenPoundHammer's change? If you didn't agree with it, you should have used an edit summary. Xclamation point 21:56, 15 November 2008 (UTC)

WP:CHARTS (simple answer); funny that here, you agreed with my request. Cannibaloki 23:05, 15 November 2008 (UTC)
WP:CHARTS doesn't really say anything about alphabetical order on Discographies, and those tables aren't in any relevance to the tables on discographies. Xclamation point 01:01, 16 November 2008 (UTC)

Iron Maiden discography

Is there anything else you might want to add to the pager? I think it's pretty much ready to be a FLC. Before nominating it, could you find a reference to the note I added to "The first ten years" box set. It found some but wasn't sure if they were reliable, you're better at that type of things. User:Dabomb87 suggested me to nominate it for FL, but I told him I was gonna let you know about it and wait for your decision as you've been the main editor to the article. Just let me know what you think.  Rockk3r Spit it Out! 00:50, 18 November 2008 (UTC)

When I say it's ready, I mean from a prose, style and consistency (with other discography FLs) standpoint. I did not evaluate whether it is comprehensive and suitably referenced, which are also important criteria. Whenever you feel ready to nominate it, do so. Dabomb87 (talk) 02:28, 18 November 2008 (UTC)
Cannibaloki, haven't seen any edit comming from you to that disco. If you're still working on it, let me know about it, if not, then let's nominate it. I see pretty much nothing else to add. IMO it's better than many, many other Featured discographies. Just let me know.  Rockk3r Spit it Out! 16:57, 24 November 2008 (UTC)

About the nomination, I left a comment, please answer back with your opinion. Rockk3r Spit it Out! 03:46, 25 November 2008 (UTC)

Now let's see what they think about that. Also, about Dickinson's discography, could you tell me if the live albums Scream for Me Brazil and Alive in Studio A charted? any country, it doesn't matter, except for the UK as I already found it. Rockk3r Spit it Out! 04:12, 25 November 2008 (UTC)

I saw that. I felt so happy. Haha. Thanks. Burningclean [speak] 21:43, 26 November 2008 (UTC)

I don't really care if I am on the nomination. I rarely edit anyway, so if you want to take full credit, go ahead, I don't even remember what I did on the list anyway. I don't think I did much. Burningclean [speak] 01:18, 12 December 2008 (UTC)

Vandalism?

Are you having a laugh? I made those reverts to Template: Dark Funeral for a reason. It was misrepresentative and made it look like Lord Ahriman and Emperor Magus Caligula have been the band's only members throughout its existence. Dark Prime (talk) 12:59, 29 November 2008 (UTC)

These are the only ones who have links. If you want to know who is or were members of the band, read the article. The template is useful to facilitate access by means of links grouped in one place. NOT a collection of names! – And you, commit vandalism, when revert to a template to a depreciated version, defining the current revision as "grossly incomprehensive." Cannibaloki 13:25, 29 November 2008 (UTC)

Sepultura Discography

Your article on Sepultura Discography is incomplete, the singles from 2003-present are missing, probably due to not charting in the US or UK, but none the less they are missing. Sepulwiki (talk) 17:11, 2 December 2008 (UTC)

And what would be? That I know, the band does not release a single since late 1990s. You're confusing with promos. In advance, NOT add promos to discography, will be considered vandalism! Cannibaloki 17:24, 2 December 2008 (UTC)

Well ive had other Wikipedia members pestering me to change it because they claim they have had charting singles in Germany and France since 2003, and this is coming from several different people. Sepulwiki (talk)

Im not entirely convinced that they were just promos, could you site a relevant source on that subject? 03:46, 3 December 2008 (UTC) Sepulwiki (talk)

Job for a Cowboy copy-edit

I can do it, but it may have to wait for a couple days. Dabomb87 (talk) 01:26, 4 December 2008 (UTC)

I streamlined the prose. It was not the most thorough copy-edit, but the article does look better. Good job on GA status. Dabomb87 (talk) 19:57, 7 December 2008 (UTC)

Cannibal Corpse

In June, you added a cleanup tag to Cannibal Corpse. Much has been done since then, I think, and I did some cleanup myself, though not as much as I would have liked. Well the ones you are leaving on the FLC's like http://toolserver.org/~dispenser/view/Checklinks are not going to the link you showed me.--SRX 00:34, 6 December 2008 (UTC)
