AfD page

Hi there. It's probably safer I don't participate in these two debates, given my previous history with these articles. I'd rather not side one way or another - but to say so on the AfD page would seem moderately redundant of me. Personally I think it would be easier and less work for those involved simply for consensus to take its course and to close the debate when it needs to be. I'm not a particular advocate of WP:SNOWBALL, though I can see its uses, and I think given the article's history and this AfD debate, which I presume will end in a keep vote, this would be an easy, painless, course of action. You're just wrong on this one (sorry) and it'd help if you change your vote and explain that at the RfD. Thomas, I'm trying to be civil. I'm certain you didn't mean for it to seem the way that it did, but since we now have the research on the table do you think you could simply admit being wrong about this AfD? Can you see that it's a little hurtful when you call something that is quite old a “neologism” and then get angry at me for pointing out the error? Especially when there has been a persistent problem with the under representation of Black culture not only on this site but in most of western culture. Calling elements of black cultural heritage “novel” was one of the tactics used to deny black people their heritage and identity in the past. This is why deeceevoice and I are both giving you such a hard time about this AfD. I'm not suggesting that you've done this on purpose-- most people would make that mistake, in fact in the past I have made it, some of these things are still quite new to me and I’m learning about them now. Since the debate seems to be doing rather well, despite its good-faith AfD nomination, I think I shall steer clear of the discussion without offering an opinion, in order to not disrupt the flow of dialogue. Botswana-bio-stub

No, I think that's fine, and that this would be consistent with it: one should only use the Africa-bio-stub template if there's no country-specific one (are there any still missing?), but for bio-stubs for which there's no category, the upmerged template would logically also feed in here. (Basically what one should do with any upmerge type with two "natural" parents.) Alai 05:08, 4 February 2007 (UTC)

I must admit that that isn't an area of admin that I'm parrticularly good at, so I'd suggest that WP:AN/I is probably the best place to take it. Kosovo stub type

It was rejected at /P (and created anyway, and then deleted at SFD) over a year ago, when there was not enough material for it; that it's been recreated and speedied several times would indeed indicate the contentiousness of the status issue. Since it's a recognised subdivision of Serbia, in theory it should be valid either way... Alai 20:21, 10 February 2007 (UTC)

Unfortunately that bit of info came from an old copy of Our Lord Don Quixote by Miguel de Unamuno, who cites it from O'Leary's papers. krio people

I added Thomas Peters to my category of Krio people because he was under the headline notable Krios in the article Sierra Leone Krios. Not all Krios are necessarily born Krio but have characteristics of Krios-like William John Campbell was a mayor of Freetown yet he was a Nigerian. Being Krio is also a way of life I suppose or a behavioral pattern. Speaking of which, I am wondering if you could help me find information on Mayors of Freetown especially William John Campbell.
