re. Gaby Chiappe

edit

@Namini1995: As you can see in this edit, I have made some edits to the Gaby Chiappe article as a courtesy to your unverified request. As noted before, the career of a person with a notable career is not irrelevant information. And as noted on the talk page and in that edit reason, in interviews about said career, Chiappe often discusses it in relation to her eldest son. I understood your vague "personal" to refer to the details of Chiappe's children. Also note that there was no requirement for me to make such an edit. I have rewritten it to exclude information that I believe could reasonably be considered unnecessary: things that do not add to an understanding of the subject or are necessary for understanding of other points. Without enough details of her career as to establish notability, the article would not meet the Wikipedia policy WP:N. Your desire to effectively blank the article apart from filmography is not Wikistyle - this is not IMDb. I also do not understand why you wanted to remove mentions of the films from the lead sentence (further adding to my thoughts that you are truly just one of those trolls who wants to wipe bios for a joke).

And, for future reference, understand that such blanking is in no way the appropriate way to resolve such an issue. Editors are quickly banned (and IP banned) for large removals of sourced information with no good, verifiable, reason. (Another note is verifiability: if the information has a reliable source, and your requests don't, they will be denied.) And an editor with a conflict of interest is advised against directly editing articles they are related to at all, let alone to outright remove everything of note.

That said, if there is anything incorrect (note that the official name of the Scottish BAFTA is British Academy Scotland Award, so you should not have changed that link, and the only other changes in your 'correction' edit were to make good sentences bad), you can mention them at the article talk page in an edit request at the talk page. The proper format for such a request is like "Change X to Y" or "Add X to [very specific part]", with reliable sources included as a reason for the change. As said, I have removed everything that can reasonably be considered more 'personal' than completely necessary.
