Orphaned non-free image File:PS-MTP logo.jpg
editThanks for uploading File:PS-MTP logo.jpg. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).
If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of "file" pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. Skier Dude (talk) 04:22, 8 December 2009 (UTC)
- Thanks for the heads up - it was uploaded for use in an article I'm working on that I will be publishing soon, and it should go up before the seven-day period is up. I appreciate your help. Nanorlb (talk) 15:36, 9 December 2009 (UTC)

Hey there Nanorlb, thank you for your contributions! I am a bot alerting you that Non-free files are not allowed in the user or talk-space. Friskies
editHello Nanorlb, thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia.
I have a question regarding this edit which you made on 16 December 2009. You removed the statement that the brand Friskies was previously used by the Carnation Company for dog food, stating that you had 'corrected misinformation'. The reference from Time of the 14 July 1958 seems to indicate clearly that the brand was indeed used for dog food. Referring to new Friskies Cubes, the reference states "Watch your dog dig into the six great flavors", and the advertisement concludes with "For variety, give him Friskies Meal and canned Friskies. All are complete ... fully nourishing prime grade dog foods from Carnation." So, how can the statement that the brand was previously used for dog food be misinformation? Coyets (talk) 12:12, 12 May 2010 (UTC)
- I have reinstated and expanded the history of the brand name Friskies as dog food with further references. Coyets (talk) 12:41, 16 July 2010 (UTC)

editThe pantry format was short lived (as in they are no longer opening new ones), but they still operate existing pantry stores -- mostly in small towns in South/South-East texas. I'll look for a source, so that can be added. Cheers -- nsaum75 !Dígame¡ 19:53, 21 December 2010 (UTC)

Request reason:
Hi there –
I came across this morning allegation of sockpuppetry associated with my account, and seek to address this for closer consideration. At the same time, I assume good faith in the addressing all those involved in these decisions, and realize that these discussions occur all in the context of being here to build an encyclopedia. Several other individuals’ accounts have been linked to mine, with claims of sockpuppetry. I respectfully believe that such claims are unfounded, and that an across-the-board blocking of 7 different accounts is not the most fitting resolution in this case.
At its core, the general (and what I understand as a very important one) rule of WP:SOCK is “one editor, one account”, and based on WP:NOSHARE, user accounts can only represent individuals. While I may share an IP address with the other accounts, each account is indeed separate, and each pertains to a specific individual human being. In accordance with these policies, multiple accounts have been created under the same IP address for multiple, different editors. Many of the accounts accused of being sockpuppets of Nanorlb are established accounts with their own built-out userpages, which should establish that they are separate identities.
In regards to the accusation of sockpuppetry, WP:SHARE indicates that closely connected users (in this case, sharing an IP address) may be considered a single user if they edit with the same objectives. While the accounts accused of sockpuppetry under User:Nanorlb share an IP address, they have not edited the same articles, participated in the same community discussions, and have not in any instance supported (nor even been involved) with each other in any disputes.
If you take a look at each user’s edit history, it should be clear that there is no overlap in editing the same article; nor involvement in the same community (nor article Talk page) discussion:
· Nanorlb - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Special:Contributions/Nanorlb
· Jeff Bedford – http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Special:Contributions/Jeff_Bedford
· Crislen – http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Special:Contributions/crislen
· CBuiltother – http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Special:Contributions/Cbuiltother
· Henryscobie – http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Special:Contributions/Henryscobie
· MBMadmirer – http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Special:Contributions/MBMadmirer
· LebaneseAmerican - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Special:Contributions/LebaneseAmerican
· Hedgefundfriend - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Special:Contributions/Hedgefundfriend
Though this is not consistent with the qualifications of sockpuppetry, if there are individual WP:NPOV or WP:COI concerns, or any other concerns, these are certainly important to address on an individual basis. The activity of MBMadmirer seems to have drawn warranted concerns (and perhaps rightfully so), which should be handled directly. However the broader block on grounds of sockpuppetry is not in Wikipedia’s best interests, since other individuals have clearly made contributions in a way that others have seen as improving the encyclopedia in a manner that also complies with the policies in place.
In regards to my individual conduct, I believe that any independent onlooker would see all of my past edits as not only productive and beneficial to the Wikipedia community, have been upfront in adequate disclosure and have respected Wikipedia’s rules, guidelines and policies. I frequently have sought feedback and consensus from the editorial community on all the articles I’ve edited, and have been consistently open to fair discussion and debate on the status of each article.
In looking to move forward, I propose a solution to address the inherent challenge posed by any IP address of a broader network: establishing a Template:User_committed_identity which would be displayed on each individual’s userpage which falls under the same internet connection. My intent is to allow for increased accountability and clarity, establishing that, in my case, Nanorlb is my one and only Wikipedia account, belonging solely to me. If consensus is that this would be beneficial on the whole, I would certainly take this approach. I also encourage input/assessment from others in how I can move forward in continuing to contribute to Wikipedia in a way that is productive and beneficial to the community.
Thanks, Nanorlb (talk) 21:15, 4 February 2011 (UTC)
Accept reason:
It does seem that you're not the same chap as the one that caused the problems. A couple of the folks on that list have been in touch. If I could recommend that you avoid editing anything to do with your company, that would be wise. Other than that, I hope you continue to enjoy editing and making good contributions. Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
