Blocked as a sockpuppet

edit

You have been blocked indefinitely from editing for abusing multiple accounts as a sockpuppet of User:Lmagoutas per the evidence presented at Wikipedia:Sockpuppet investigations/Lmagoutas. Note that multiple accounts are allowed, but not for illegitimate reasons, and any contributions made while evading blocks or bans may be reverted or deleted.
If you think there are good reasons for being unblocked, please review Wikipedia's guide to appealing blocks, then add the following text to the bottom of your talk page: {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}}.  TheSandDoctor Talk 06:55, 2 December 2023 (UTC)Reply

This user's unblock request has been reviewed by an administrator, who declined the request. Other administrators may also review this block, but should not override the decision without good reason (see the blocking policy).

Request reason:

I logged back in my account after months of inactivity to find I have been blocked as a sockpuppet and my account talk page full of conversations which I never took part in. I have never edited any articles about calendars and leap years and never edited articles to do with Bulgaria so it doesn't make sense that these topics are in my talk page. I have previously edited articles while at work in a large building so perhaps there was some misunderstanding due to using the same IP as someone else. Please remove this block. Decline reason:

Please describe concisely and clearly how your edits merited a block, what you would do differently, and what constructive edits you would make. Please read Wikipedia's Guide to appealing blocks for more information., Please describe what constructive edits you would make that are not about Arvanites. Thanks -- Deepfriedokra (talk) 10:12, 28 January 2024 (UTC)Reply

If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.

I have no idea who User:Lmagoutas is and why he got involved in my talk. I didn't do anything to warrant a block and being located in the same city and using the same ISP as some idiot who can't follow the rules doesn't make me responsible for their actions. My edits didn't merit a block and I would do nothing differently. In fact I retracted some of my edits when it was made clear by other users that they shouldn't be there. Please describe what constructive edits you would make that are not about Arvanites. Do I need to have edits in mind to be able to have an unblocked account on Wikipedia?
Never saw such weirdness as those IP edits before, however you most certainly did edit Arvanites, and that is the gist of Wikipedia:Sockpuppet investigations/Lmagoutas/Archive and why you are blocked as a sock. (If it were me, I'd probably blank the IP nonsense as it contributes nothing.) Best, -- Deepfriedokra (talk) 08:01, 22 January 2024 (UTC)Reply
Probably some random vandal IP.-- Deepfriedokra (talk) 08:02, 22 January 2024 (UTC)Reply
The stuff posted above by an IP was the typical nonsense from WP:LTA/VXFC. I've removed it now. Fut.Perf. 10:26, 21 February 2024 (UTC)Reply
Looking at Wikipedia:Sockpuppet investigations/Lmagoutas/Archive this doesn't make any sense to me. I am blocked because User:Lmagoutas tried to enforce changes that I proposed through edit warring, I geolocate to the same city as them (a city of 5 million people) and we share the same ISP (1 of 2 largest providers in the area). What a joke. Is there any way this can be reversed/appealed? I have no idea who User:Lmagoutas is and why he got involved in my talk. I didn't do anything to warrant a block and being located in the same city and using the same ISP as some idiot who can't follow the rules doesn't make me responsible for their actions.
