Welcome

edit

Hello, Natashakhardina, and welcome to Wikipedia! Thank you for your contributions.

I notice that one of the first articles you have edited appears to be dealing with a topic with which you may have a conflict of interest. In other words, you may find it difficult to write about that topic in a neutral and objective way, because you are, work for, or represent, the subject of that article. Your recent contributions may have already been reverted for this very reason.

To reduce the chances of deletion, you might like to draft your article before submission, then ask me or any other editor to proofread it. To start creating a draft article, just click your user name at the top of the screen when you are logged in, and edit that page as you would any other. If the page you created has already been deleted from Wikipedia, but you want to save the content from it to use for that draft, don't hesitate to ask anyone from this list and they will copy it to your user page.

The one firm rule we do have in connection with conflicts of interest is that accounts used by more than one person will unfortunately be blocked from editing.

If you are stuck, and looking for help, please come to the New contributors' help page, where experienced Wikipedians can answer any queries you have! You can also just type {{helpme}} on your user page, and someone will show up shortly to answer your questions. Here are a few other good links for newcomers:

I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! Please sign your name on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~); this will automatically produce your name and the date. If you have any questions, check out Wikipedia:Where to ask a question or ask me on my talk page. Again, welcome! Empty Buffer (talk) 22:23, 3 July 2010 (UTC)Reply

Help me!

edit

{{|help me}}

Please help me with editing of this article as I do not see where is the advert or promotion material in it. I have checked the similar articles on WIKIPEDIA on people from the similar fields like Takashi Amano, Hans Albrecht Baensch or Herbert Axelrod (all 3 are also publishers) for example. All have mentioned their companies, publications and even product lines like Takashi. To my understanding, I tryed to mention the facts that made Bleher to what he is – great explorer, adventurer and writer.

Natashakhardina (talk) 21:48, 27 November 2015 (UTC)Natasha KhardinaReply

It's not blatantly promotional but could simply use more sources particularly in-depth third-party. If you want, this can be drafted and userfied to User:Natashakhardina/Sandbox. Cheers, SwisterTwister talk 22:07, 27 November 2015 (UTC)Reply
From the sources it would appear that you are personally involved with Bleher (colleague, partner, or even husband?) That doesn't make it easy for you to be neutral. For instance, you wrote in the article that he's a "leading expert" and then you give one of his own publications as source for that. Certainly you can see that a claim like that needs an reliable source independent of the subject himself. As for the other articles you mention, please read WP:OTHERCRAPEXISTS. (Although I checked Herbert Axelrod and was surprised to see a rather balanced article, given that guy's penchant for self-aggrandisement -just look up Nijssen and Isbrücker's original description of Corydoras narcissus or the original descriptions of Rasbora axelrodi and Rasbora brittani...). The article on Amano is not very good, I couldn't find any article on Baensch (except for a stub in the German WP). Anyway, you're really not the right person to write a bio on Bleher. Bleher meets our inclusion criteria (even though I don't give a dime for the species named after him by Rataj, probably the most inept systematic botanist I ever heard of), so eventually somebody will write an article on him. --Randykitty (talk) 12:13, 28 November 2015 (UTC)Reply
