Joseph Conrad
editI have reverted your edits to Joseph Conrad. Redirecting Congo Free State to Belgium Congo was inappropriate, as the Belgium Congo did not exist when Conrad was in the Congo Free State, and Wikipedia has an article on the Congo Free State. Also, the Torrens that Conrad sailed on was not a steam ship, but a clipper ship. While there was a contemporary SS Torrens, it was built as a dredger and later converted to a freighter, and could not have competed with the clipper ship in speed. -- Donald Albury 12:27, 30 December 2011 (UTC)

editHi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Battle of Mill Springs, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Fort Henry (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

editThank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. I noticed your recent edit to Bronze Age collapse does not have an edit summary. Please provide one before saving your changes to an article, as the summaries are quite helpful to people browsing an article's history. Thanks! DKqwerty (talk) 19:19, 9 July 2013 (UTC)

editNaviguessor,
What is the no-destination link in the New Albion page. Was that in error? Shall we clean it up?
Thanks,
A barnstar for you!

editHi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited L. Frank Baum, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Psychogenic (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)

editI removed the comma, one you added as a good faith edit. Please note that when the dependent clause is last in the sentence, it is not connected with a comma to the independent clause. This punctuation convention is not covered in WP:Style. It may be seen [HERE].
Thank you for your interest in the article. Kind regards, Hu Nhu (talk) 22:25, 20 June 2020 (UTC)

Fighting for the Confederacy: The Personal Recollections of General Edward Porter Alexander (Civil War America) by Gary W. Gallagher (Editor) (The University of North Carolina Press, 1998), p.558
Originally published by UNC Press in 1989, Fighting for the Confederacy is one of the richest personal accounts in all of the vast literature on the Civil War. Alexander was involved in nearly all of the great battles of the East, from First Manassas through Appomattox, and his duties brought him into frequent contact with most of the high command of the Army of Northern Virginia, including Robert E. Lee, Stonewall Jackson, and James Longstreet. No other Civil War veteran of his stature matched Alexander's ability to discuss operations in penetrating detail-- this is especially true of his description of Gettysburg. His narrative is also remarkable for its utterly candid appraisals of leaders on both sides.
