Hello,
Ask away. I have previously been contacted by surviving relatives, and I have always found it interesting.

Hi, thanks for prompt response! My question is - in one of the versions of the bio it was mentioned that Vasiliy has grand son - Kurt Michael Yanchenko, but at certain point of time you have removed this reference. Was it because you figured out that they are not relatives or it happened accidentally? Also any additional information on Vasiliy such as location of his grave would be much appreciated.
By the way - my name is Andrey Yanchenko and my great grandfather was one of the few Yanchenko's from Ussuriysk who survived the civil war. Most of Vasiliy's relatives were executed once communists won, because of his participation in the war on the White Army side.
Thanks again, can not really tell you how exited is my grand father about the whole story.

Hello, Andrey,
I don't recall finding information on Kurt. I reviewed the History tab to jog my memory, and find no signs I ever wrote about Kurt. If you have the date/time slug for that particular edit, I could check it specifically.
So, unfortunately, at this time, I can't supply you with any information directly. However, you may be able to find out more in the Reference books I used. They are the sources I used to write this article, which means they would have supplied the info on Kurt if I did indeed write that revision. I would take a quick look at them to answer you if I had not long since returned them to the library. I did take a look at findagrave.com, with no luck.
Please tell your granddad I feel that his excitement over my writing is a compliment to me. There is very little appreciation for a Wikipedia writer, and I treasure his.
Best regards, George
Thanks, George! Appreciate your help.
