UNSW revamp
editHi there, I see you are interested in doing a major rewrite of UNSW, I would love to help you in that effort!
I'm an undergraduate there and am very involved in the student community on campus. Also, I intend to write my honours thesis about WP in a year so this would be really relevant. Who are you and what is your particular area of interest re. UNSW?
I suggest we set up a sub-page on either one of our userpages or as a sub page of Wikipedia:WikiProject Sydney. I also suggest we get the other UNSW wikipedians involved by placing a message at their talk pages - they can be found here: . I know a lot of these people personally and can get their ideas even if they do not participate online.
Finally, I reckon we should look at some other relevant university pages (e.g. USyd and Michigan State University (it's the only FA'd University) as examples of where we should start. I reckon I might even write a seperate page called UNSW campus community to discuss all the things like UNSW Revues, VSU, theSource, Orientation Week, etc, etc.
Look forward to hearing from you, Witty lama 13:16, 24 May 2006 (UTC)
- Hi,
I got your message, yes this is the best way to talk to someone through WP - on their userpage. Might I also suggest that you add four tildes (which looks like this ~~~~), that adds your name (which is a link to your userpage) and the date and time of your message. Otherwise no-one knows who said what.
I too do not plan to do anything about a revamp until the end of the semester! And I like your idea about researching the history of the uni good idea. Maybe we should meet up on campus over the next couple of weeks (before the end of semester) to see where we stand. I do not want to publicise my e-mail address on this forum, and since you have not given WP an e-mail address of your own, you will have to email me to get it contact. You can do this by clicking "E-mail this user" (on the toolbox on the left hand side) when you are looking at my userpage. Suffice it to say that the best time for me is on Thursdays between 12 and 4. Go to the CONTACT office (on the Basser Steps) and they will be able to find me - I work there from 3-4 on Thursdays.
Hope to talk to you soon, Witty lama 09:09, 27 May 2006 (UTC)
Central railway station
editThanks for the bit on the UNSW bus services for the Central article. Sorry for being picky about it before - as it's one of the most important bus services there, I'll make sure it gets a priority in that section whenever I get around to doing the bus services part.
Also, I see you were interested in perhaps doing some work on Campbelltown and Camden - is there any chance if you are able that you could get a photo of the railway stations in your area? We don't have any pictures for them at the moment. If you can't that's ok, but just wondering... (JROBBO 04:32, 7 June 2006 (UTC))
Changes to UNSW article
editI've noticed you've made a number of changes to the UNSW article. I have just made four changes in a row to this article, summarising the merger of the AGSM with the Faculty of Commerce and Economics to form the Faculty of Business. UNSW has gone from having ten faculties to having nine faculties. Please see the Talk:University of New South Wales page for more info.--Just James 00:33, 19 February 2007 (UTC)
