About the coat of arms of the Siberian Republic
[edit]- Hello, I saw that you have reversed my editing of the Siberian Republic document. The png version of the COA you said, especially with serious errors in color.
The king's mantle is colored(ex: blue, red, green etc) on the outside and collectively white on the inside.
This is the same in Russia. #1 #2
So this png version is expected to have been produced by a user with no knowledge of the king's mantle. So if you don't have the exact source for this png version, please refrain from returning the editing to the faulty png version --Samhanin (talk) 04:29, 25 May 2025 (UTC)- Dear Collegue, thank you for your intrest in siberian history. Your COA color version may be heraldry correct, but not historically.
- I know the person who made png version. He took his references from here.
- There is also a description of the COA: «Между тем, по результатам доклада Гришина-Алмазова 16 августа 1918 года был подготовлен новый вариант герба, соболи на нем поддерживали не корону а чёрного двуглавого орла с распростертыми крыльями, что должно было подчеркнуть, что возрождение всей России начнётся в Сибири. Герб размещался на фоне белой мантии с зелёной подкладкой и золотой бахромой; зелёный цвет символизировал тайгу, золотой - золотодобывающую промышленность. Автором рисунка герба выступил художник Глеб Александрович Ильин».
- Moreover, you can look not only at your own reference again, but also at other siberian banknotes.
- Another source is the state catalogue of the russian Ministry of Culture: there is the COA from the Artillery Museum.
- There is other disatvantages of your file: the low-quality sable's faces, too thin and too similar ermine spots, and strange scuffs (or what is it? there is no need in hatching) on the image.
- Therefore, I'll revert siberian COA to png version.~~ Neosiberian (talk) 06:18, 26 May 2025 (UTC)
- I'm glad you presented me with the source.
I checked the source you presented, and confirmed that the mantle of the coat of arms of the Siberian Republic is an exceptional case different from the usual case. I edited it and upload it.
However, I'm still reluctant to use that png version for documents in the Siberian Republic.
Because, that png version was crudely created using the image trace function as an illustrator program.
Also, it is generally recommended that the image file of the svg file be used in national documents in Wikipedia. So I drew and produced the svg file myself, referring to one of the evidences you presented, the design drawn on the notes of the Siberian Republic --Samhanin (talk) 11:45, 26 May 2025 (UTC)- The new version of svg COA is better then previous, but there is remaining some negative moments:
- 1) The sables' faces looks more better yet on the png file and the presented sourses than on your svg;
- 2) The ermine spots on the png and the sources are not similar and thin as on your file;
- 3) The bow is too long, it wasn't originally touched borders of the shield, dividing it into two parts;
- 4) The shield is covering the mantle on the top, next to the left eagle's wing. In png version and sources it's just touching shield's border.
- I think, if you add some extra changes in your file, it will no problem with replacing png version.
- I hope you do that, so I am not reverting vertions now. ~~ Neosiberian (talk) 08:58, 27 May 2025 (UTC)
- I double-checked the parts you pointed out. As I told you, I actually designed the coat of arms that were drawn on the bank notes of the Siberian Republic that were historically written. The face, the length of the bow, the wing of the eagle, and so on, drawn on the bank notes sauce, are expressed almost exactly the same. So I think the coat of arms of the Siberian Republic is a little bit different even between historical data. --Samhanin (talk) 00:45, 28 May 2025 (UTC)
