Thanks! I think understanding the higher dimensions is a lot easier if you understand how the lower dimension relate to each other. Extrude a point, you get line; Extrude a line, you get a square; extrude a square, you get a cube. Then what do get if you extrude a cube? A tesseract. I second that. This perfectly illustrates how I explain it to my friends also, at least when I force them to listen to me talk about N dimensions :) I noticed the X and Y colors in your legend did not match the illustrations, so I uploaded a new version that corrects this (File:Dimension levels.svg). I hope that's ok with you. I don't know what graphics editor you used, but I just fixed it with a text editor to preserve the readability of the file by your original editor. -- Renesis (talk) 16:08, 14 July 2009 (UTC)

Image Dimension levels.svg

Your Dimension levels.svg is a nice diagram. However, it appears to be missing the last extension arrow (magenta) in frame 4, showing the extension of the cube into the 4th dimension along the W-axis. — Loadmaster (talk) 21:00, 1 February 2013 (UTC)
