About Me

Am from Newtownards and dislike people adding Irish names to UK towns.

Like or dislike it, they will stay in Northern Ireland towns. The community consensus stated in WP:IMOS allows for them to be there. The rest of the Wikipedia community accepts them, if you don't like it then start a discussion on it. The relevant section of the manual of style is here. Please read and welcome to Wikipedia. Please do not add commentary or your own personal analysis to Wikipedia articles. Doing so violates Wikipedia's neutral point of view policy and breaches the formal tone expected in an encyclopedia. You have not cited any sources. But even if the claim that the UK government has spent £3 billion on Iraq is verifiable, the money has been spent by the Ministry of Defence, not the Chancellor. It is the Chancellor's job to raise money and allocate it to government departments. It is then up to those departments to spend the money. Viewfinder 23:11, 15 February 2007 (UTC)

Irish

I have no idea what law you think you're citing, but it doesn't apply to the English Wikipedia, which is based in the US, in Florida. See also Natalie's very good advice on No legal threats - you can be blocked indefinately for making them. Yours seem more silly than threatening, and they are pointless as well, as they don't apply. Northern Ireland towns and cities do not have irish in them so why should wikipedia has it as a rule. What about having german on every UK towns and cities and then having Arabic for all United States of America towns and cities.
