Please help me with uploading my nonprofit's logo. I keep trying to upload it (it is new as of January 2019), but I keep receiving an error message that I don't have permission to do so, which I do.

- Hi Nhfirestone,
- Wikipedia does normally not accept such "non-free" images. However, there is a narrow exception for fair-use images, such as displaying the logo in the article. If you believe that the logo should be replaced, e.g. because it is outdated, you can use the following form to request an upload of a non-free image:
- https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Wikipedia:Files_for_upload&action=edit&preload=Wikipedia:Files_for_upload/Wizard/Preload/Other&editintro=Wikipedia:Files_for_upload/Wizard/EditIntro/Other§ion=new
- Please also read the messages below and disclose your connection to the organization on your user page before doing this. ~ ToBeFree (talk) 23:15, 10 January 2020 (UTC)

Managing a conflict of interest
editHello, Nhfirestone. We welcome your contributions, but if you have an external relationship with the people, places or things you have written about in the page Jewish Book Council, you may have a conflict of interest (COI). Editors with a conflict of interest may be unduly influenced by their connection to the topic. See the conflict of interest guideline and FAQ for organizations for more information. We ask that you:
- avoid editing or creating articles about yourself, your family, friends, colleagues, company, organization or competitors;
- propose changes on the talk pages of affected articles (you can use the {{request edit}} template);
- disclose your conflict of interest when discussing affected articles (see Wikipedia:Conflict of interest#How to disclose a COI);
- avoid linking to your organization's website in other articles (see WP:Spam);
- do your best to comply with Wikipedia's content policies.
In addition, you are required by the Wikimedia Foundation's terms of use to disclose your employer, client, and affiliation with respect to any contribution which forms all or part of work for which you receive, or expect to receive, compensation. See Wikipedia:Paid-contribution disclosure.
Also, editing for the purpose of advertising, publicising, or promoting anyone or anything is not permitted. Thank you. ~ ToBeFree (talk) 23:15, 10 January 2020 (UTC)
- @Nhfirestone: You have still failed to disclose as per the above requirement. Do not edit further until you have done so or you may be blocked. Praxidicae (talk) 19:44, 15 January 2020 (UTC)
- @Praxidicae: Apologies. I did not realize it was a conflict of interest for me to edit the organization's page given my affiliation, but I see that now. I had edited to fix inaccuracies and outdated information, but will now do so through the "propose changes" link I see above. I also added my affiliation information in my talkpage. Is there anything else I need to do? I want to make sure the organization's programs are up-to-date and accurately reflected. All information I am adding or changing can be seen on Jewish Book Council's website. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Nhfirestone (talk • contribs) 20:10, 15 January 2020 (UTC)
- Hi Nhfirestone, thank you very much for the disclosure and response. If all future edits are made as edit requests, that seems fine to me. No worries. Any concerns about the requested edits can then easily be discussed at Talk:Jewish Book Council.
- To make this easier, I have now added an orange information box to the top of the talk page. Whenever you like to, simply click "request corrections on or suggest content" to create an edit request.
- Please let us know if there are any questions left, or if new questions arise. The WP:Teahouse, for example, can always offer independent advice.
- Best regards,
