Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia. Although everyone is welcome to contribute to Wikipedia, at least one of your recent edits, such as the one you made to Willow Canyon High School, did not appear to be constructive and has been reverted or removed. Please use the sandbox for any test edits you would like to make, and read the welcome page to learn more about contributing constructively to this encyclopedia. Thank you. Hi! My name's Raymie. I specialize in articles on Arizona high schools. Are you a Willow Canyon student or near there? Pictures of the front entrances of schools are always appreciated. Just make sure to release them in a compatible license. Raymie (tc) 04:14, 28 August 2011 (UTC)Reply

Welcome

Hello, Nick5001, and welcome to Wikipedia! Thank you for your contributions. I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Unfortunately, one or more of your edits to the page Phoenix Coyotes have not conformed to Wikipedia's verifiability policy, and may be removed if they have not yet been. Wikipedia articles should refer only to facts and interpretations that have been stated in print or on reputable websites or other forms of media. Always remember to provide a reliable source for quotations and for any material that is likely to be challenged, or it may be removed. Wikipedia also has a related policy against including original research in articles. As well, all new biographies of living people must contain at least one reliable source.

If you are stuck and looking for help, please see the guide for citing sources or come to the new contributors' help page, where experienced Wikipedians can answer any queries you have! Or, you can just type {{helpme}} on your user page, and someone will show up shortly to answer your questions. Here are a few other good links for newcomers:

I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! Please sign your name on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~); this will automatically produce your name and the date. If you have any questions, check out Wikipedia:Where to ask a question or ask me on my talk page. Again, welcome!  Echoedmyron (talk) 21:14, 28 January 2012 (UTC)Reply

Welcome to Wikipedia. Everyone is welcome to contribute to the encyclopedia, but when you add or change content, as you did to the article Phoenix Coyotes, please cite a reliable source for your addition. This helps maintain our policy of verifiability. See Wikipedia:Citing sources for how to cite sources, and the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia. Thank you. The reference for the sentence you are changing talks bout two groups, not three, and is from September. If you are going to change the fact in the sentence, you need to also update the citation for it, and cite the latest news article that you saw. Echoedmyron (talk) 23:27, 28 January 2012 (UTC)Reply

Winnipeg Jets

edit

Regarding the recent revisions to the Jets' and original Jets' articles, you've been on Wikipedia a while now, and should be long since aware of WP:VERIFY, which holds that "all quotations and any material challenged or likely to be challenged must be attributed to a reliable, published source using an inline citation." The material was challenged; it is up to you now to prove it. That your favorite sportswriter might be fond of the term "Jets 2.0" isn't good enough -- your assertion was that the term was in broad circulation. Ravenswing 23:26, 14 January 2013 (UTC)Reply

Your recent editing history at 2021 World Series shows that you are currently engaged in an edit war; that means that you are repeatedly changing content back to how you think it should be, when you have seen that other editors disagree. To resolve the content dispute, please do not revert or change the edits of others when you are reverted. Instead of reverting, please use the talk page to work toward making a version that represents consensus among editors. The best practice at this stage is to discuss, not edit-war; read about how this is done. If discussions reach an impasse, you can then post a request for help at a relevant noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases, you may wish to request temporary page protection.

Being involved in an edit war can result in you being blocked from editing—especially if you violate the three-revert rule, which states that an editor must not perform more than three reverts on a single page within a 24-hour period. Undoing another editor's work—whether in whole or in part, whether involving the same or different material each time—counts as a revert. Also keep in mind that while violating the three-revert rule often leads to a block, you can still be blocked for edit warring—even if you do not violate the three-revert rule—should your behavior indicate that you intend to continue reverting repeatedly.
