However, you are permitted to use a username that contains such a name if it identifies you individually, such as "Sara Smith at XYZ Company", "Mark at WidgetsUSA", or "FoobarFan87".

Thank you for arranging to change your username. You still will need to review the conflict of interest policy and the paid editing policy(if you are paid to edit or editing as part of your job duties). Those policies are linked to in my above post. If you are attempting to draft an article, I would suggest visiting Articles for Creation and submit any draft you have there for review by another editor, who can then give you feedback before the article is placed in the encyclopedia, instead of afterwards when it would be treated more harshly. If you have any questions, you may visit the Teahouse, an area for new users to ask questions, or you may ask on this page and I will see it. Thank you 331dot (talk) 13:40, 23 February 2018 (UTC
Does the disclosure and COI have to go on the main wiki page or can i put them in here?
- Most people will put the disclosure on their user page(click your username at the top of the screen) but this page is fine too. 331dot (talk) 15:58, 23 February 2018 (UTC)
I think i have disclosed and added the relevant COI. Please can you let me know if this sufficient. Thank you for your help in advance.
- I took the liberty of using a template more appropriate for a userpage, the ones you used are meant for article talk pages(and you should use them on the talk pages of any articles you create or edit). Thank you for your disclosure. It is highly suggested that you use Articles for Creation to submit drafts for review by an independent editor, both for new users and users editing in the area of their conflict of interest; it is better to get the feedback on the draft before it is a formal article, rather than afterwards. 331dot (talk) 17:16, 23 February 2018 (UTC)
Hi, can i just check do i need to submit my page to the articles of creation or did it already pass review by yourself?
- If you are referring to your sandbox, you will need to visit Articles for Creation to submit it(you should be able to copy/paste it from your Sandbox) but I would not do that just yet, as your draft has no independent reliable sources in it. In order for your company to merit an article on Wikipedia, it must have in depth coverage in independent reliable sources that indicate how it meets the notability guidelines listed at WP:ORG Independent sources does not include things like the company website, press releases, basic business announcements like a product release, or transcripts of interviews with company staff. A complete list is included in the notability guidelines. In order for you to be successful in writing about your company, you essentially need to forget everything you know about it and only write based on what independent sources state about it. Primary sources like the company website are only acceptable in very limited circumstances(like sourcing the number of employees, address, etc.) 331dot (talk) 11:24, 28 February 2018 (UTC)
- You don't need to finish your draft in your sandbox, you can copy/paste what you have into articles for creation and then work on the rest. 331dot (talk) 11:25, 28 February 2018 (UTC)
