Speedy deletion nomination of Draft:Night of Full Moon

edit

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Draft:Night of Full Moon, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page seems to be unambiguous advertising which only promotes a company, group, product, service, person, or point of view and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become encyclopedic. Please read the guidelines on spam and Wikipedia:FAQ/Organizations for more information.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator. There have been two problems with this account: the account has been used for advertising or promotion, which is contrary to the purpose of Wikipedia, and your username indicates that the account represents a business or other organisation or group or a web site, which is also against policy, as an account must be for just one person. Because of those problems, the account has been blocked indefinitely from editing. Additionally, If you receive, or expect to receive, compensation for your contributions to Wikipedia, you must disclose who is paying you to edit.

If you intend to make useful contributions about some topic other than your business or organisation, you may request an unblock. To do so, post the text {{unblock-spamun|Your proposed new username|Your reason here}} at the bottom of your talk page. Replace the text "Your proposed new username" with a new username you are willing to use. See Special:CentralAuth to search for available usernames. Your new username will need to meet our username policy. Replace the text "Your reason here" with your reason to be unblocked. In that reason, you must:

  • Convince us that you understand the reason for your block and that you will not repeat the kind of edits for which you were blocked.
  • Describe in general terms the contributions that you intend to make if you are unblocked.
If you believe this block was made in error, you may appeal this block. To do so, please read the guide to appealing blocks, then add the text {{unblock|Your reason here}} at the bottom of your talk page, replace the text "Your reason here" with your reason for thinking that the block was an error, and publish the page. As I said, "someone else will review your unblock request". Please be patient - and there's no need to put every comment in a new unblock request Boing! said Zebedee (talk) 10:43, 12 April 2019 (UTC)Reply
ty for ur reply, this is the first time i create a page on wiki, and didn't read the rules carefully before creating the page. this is my fault. but this will not happen again. i will create the page under the rules of wiki. Hope my account could be unlocked. ty very much— Preceding unsigned comment added by Cardgamefan (talkcontribs)
You have not answered my question. As Boing! said Zebedee told you, subsequent comment do not need to be unblock requests; simply type them without the "unblock" around it. 331dot (talk) 11:16, 12 April 2019 (UTC)Reply

Request reason:

yes, we are the producer of this card game. we are located in Shanghai China, a indie studio subordinate to Giant Network. this is my business email: zhoufeng@ztgame.com. Currently we are trying to create a wiki page for our game for the convenience of players to get the basic idea of it.

Decline reason:

Technical decline as it has been replaced by a new request, below, and we only need one. Boing! said Zebedee (talk) 09:28, 15 April 2019 (UTC)Reply

If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.

That is not permitted, as that is considered promotional here. Wikipedia is not for just telling the world about something; Wikipedia is an encyclopedia where article subjects must be shown with independent reliable sources to be notable as Wikipedia defines it. Wikipedia has no interest in what an article subject wants to say about itself; or in this case, no interest in what a company wants to say about its products. Someone else will review your request, but I think you are unlikely to be unblocked as long as you state that is your purpose. If you want to be a general, individual Wikipedia contributor, please tell what you will edit about instead. 331dot (talk) 03:19, 15 April 2019 (UTC)Reply

Request reason:

i see, we will not create a promotional page. our purpose is just give a objective brief intro of this game, our players or anyone who are interested in card game can edit and improve this page, just like Slay the Spire or Hearth of Stone (btw, 炉石传说 in wiki CN even put their official site and community page under their wiki page:https://zh.wikipedia.org/wiki/%E7%82%89%E7%9F%B3%E4%BC%A0%E8%AF%B4. why is this acceptable?)

Decline reason:

What other language Wikis do is irrelevent to en.wikipedia. We don't permit advertising-only accounts, and the game you are trying to promote here does not meet notability guidelines. OhNoitsJamie Talk 16:43, 15 April 2019 (UTC)Reply

Request reason:

Is there really a need to block these poor sods? I know that, potentially, they could create self-promotional material but making a page about their card game isn't necessarily a bad thing. I might want to read about Night of the Full Moon and what it's about, it's very easy to just amend to get any shit content out of the article to make sure they don't shill on their own product. Language barrier isn't helping with these goys either

Decline reason:

Unblock requests must be made by the blocked editor only. Boing! said Zebedee (talk) 09:26, 15 April 2019 (UTC)Reply

could you check my reply above? besides, i don't know how others can comment on this appeal..— Preceding unsigned comment added by Cardgamefan (talkcontribs)

Only one unblock request is needed; additional comment should just be standard comments without the unblock request formatting. If others wish to comment, they are free to edit this page to do it, but they cannot make unblock requests on your behalf. If they were asked to come here by you, that would be canvassing, though.
Regarding your block, as I stated, what you want to do is considered promotional here. I explained why above. If you haven't already, please review the conflict of interest policy; you may find reading this plain language explanation of the policy helpful as well. You will not be unblocked to edit about your card game, as we are only interested in what others say about your card game, and not what you want to say about it. The English Wikipedia has different policies and procedures than other language Wikipedias; what is acceptable on other versions is not necessarily acceptable here. Is there anything other than your card game that you want to edit about? 331dot (talk) 10:38, 15 April 2019 (UTC)Reply
|So you mean i cannot create the page for our product, even from an objective way? just because we are the owner of this game? Currently we can't edit anything because my account and ip address have been blocked. I cannot create a new account. I just though this punishment of blocking ip is a bit severe, because i don't even have a chance to amend. Anyway, if this account or address still cannot be unblocked, we will not appeal any more. thank you for your time.— Preceding unsigned comment added by cardgamefan (talkcontribs)
Please do not use the unblock tag again; please just type your additional comment without it. You are too close to your game to be able to write about it objectively. People naturally write favorably about themselves and what they do. I have been here many years and have never seen someone with a conflict of interest write about it successfully in the manner required by Wikipedia. We want Wikipedia to be neutral and to have content supported by independent reliable sources, not tell what the company wants to say about its own products. You can tell the world about your products on your own website or social media, but not here. You will only be unblocked if you agree to not edit about your company or its products, and if you tell what you will edit about instead as a general, individual Wikipedia contributor. If you are not interested in editing about anything other than your card game or company, please indicate that and your request can be closed. 331dot (talk) 11:12, 15 April 2019 (UTC)Reply

ok, we can edit or create other topics other than our game or company. for example, we can create the page related to events happened in China since we are more familiar than people of other countries, like the recently treading topic: 996 ICU. Please unblock this account thank you.

You must make another unblock request for another administrator to see it. 331dot (talk) 05:50, 16 April 2019 (UTC)Reply

The continued use of the first person plural ("we") suggests that multiple individuals may have access to this account. Accounts must be accessible by one individual only. Yunshui  10:52, 15 May 2019 (UTC)Reply
