Cameroon

The modern territory of Cameroon has approximately 280 chiefdoms ruling over 192 different tribes. The Bamiléké alone are divided into ninety separate traditional authorities.[2][3] Current information on the majority of these chiefdoms is largely inadequate. The list below contains only entries that can be adequately verified.
