There are many ways you can contribute to Wikipedia. Here are a few ideas:

To get some practice editing you can use a sandbox. You can create your own personal sandbox for use any time. It's perfect for working on bigger projects. Then for easy access in the future, you can put {{My sandbox}}
on your userpage.
Please remember to:
- Always sign your posts on talk pages. You can do this either by clicking on the button on the edit toolbar or by typing four tildes
~~~~
at the end of your post. This will automatically insert your signature, a link to your talk page, and a timestamp. - Leave descriptive edit summaries for your edits. Doing so helps other editors understand what changes you have made and why you made them.
Saatchi Yates moved to draftspace
editThanks for your contributions to Saatchi Yates. Unfortunately, it is not ready for publishing because it needs more sources to establish notability. Your article is now a draft where you can improve it undisturbed for a while.
Please see more information at Help:Unreviewed new page. When the article is ready for publication, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page. DoubleGrazing (talk) 13:12, 24 August 2023 (UTC)
- Hi, I've moved this into the draft space for now, as notability hasn't been established. Per WP:GNG, we need to see significant coverage in multiple independent and reliable secondary sources. -- DoubleGrazing (talk) 13:19, 24 August 2023 (UTC)
editHello, Nijinsky1. We welcome your contributions, but if you have an external relationship with the people, places or things you have written about on Wikipedia, you may have a conflict of interest (COI). Editors with a conflict of interest may be unduly influenced by their connection to the topic. See the conflict of interest guideline and FAQ for organizations for more information. We ask that you:
- avoid editing or creating articles about yourself, your family, friends, colleagues, company, organization, clients, or competitors;
- propose changes on the talk pages of affected articles (you can use the {{edit COI}} template);
- disclose your conflict of interest when discussing affected articles (see Wikipedia:Conflict of interest § How to disclose a COI);
- avoid linking to your organization's website in other articles (see Wikipedia:Spam § External link spamming);
- do your best to comply with Wikipedia's content policies.
In addition, you are required by the Wikimedia Foundation's terms of use to disclose your employer, client, and affiliation with respect to any contribution which forms all or part of work for which you receive, or expect to receive, compensation. See Wikipedia:Paid-contribution disclosure.
Also, editing for the purpose of advertising, publicising, or promoting anyone or anything is not permitted. Thank you. ThaddeusSholto (talk) 16:52, 20 October 2023 (UTC)
Please refrain from making unconstructive edits to Wikipedia. Your edits appear to be disruptive and have been or will be reverted.
- If you are engaged in an article content dispute with another editor, please discuss the matter with the editor at their talk page, or the article's talk page, and seek consensus with them. Alternatively, you can read Wikipedia's dispute resolution page, and ask for independent help at one of the relevant noticeboards.
- If you are engaged in any other form of dispute that is not covered on the dispute resolution page, please seek assistance at Wikipedia's Administrators' noticeboard/Incidents.
Please ensure you are familiar with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines, and please do not continue to make edits that appear disruptive. Continued disruptive editing may result in loss of editing privileges. Thank you. ThaddeusSholto (talk) 16:57, 20 October 2023 (UTC)
Your edits have no reference which is required per WP:BLP. Also in this edit summary you said "We restored information..." Who is we? ThaddeusSholto (talk) 16:57, 20 October 2023 (UTC)
- Hi ThaddeusSholto. Thank you for your comments, I appreciate they are made in good faith. The edits made were intended to provide more information for the artist's exhibition history and was not in any way promotional. Nijinsky1 (talk) 17:02, 20 October 2023 (UTC)
- That didn't really answer what I asked. Who is "we"? ThaddeusSholto (talk) 17:05, 20 October 2023 (UTC)
- My friend, we have both studied the artist in the context of fellow YBAs. As you can see on my page, I have previously made a small edit on the Jenny Saville page. Nijinsky1 (talk) 17:07, 20 October 2023 (UTC)
- That didn't really answer what I asked. Who is "we"? ThaddeusSholto (talk) 17:05, 20 October 2023 (UTC)
- So more than one person is using this account? Or are you claiming you are editing in conjunction with a friend? If you are "fellow YBAs" then what, exactly, is your connection to the articles you have been editing? ThaddeusSholto (talk) 17:11, 20 October 2023 (UTC)
- Hi, I was editing in conjunction with a friend. We have an academic interest in art, and through researching the YBA generation, wanted to add information on Jason's exhibition history, noticing that the format of the information was confusing and not referenced. - What account is your friend using and what, if any, connection do either of you have to the subjects you have been editing? It is difficult for me to believe you have none if you keep adding unreferenced personal information to articles. ThaddeusSholto (talk) 17:44, 20 October 2023 (UTC)
