editPlease do not add commentary or your own personal analysis to Wikipedia articles, as you did to 1984 anti-Sikh riots. Doing so violates Wikipedia's neutral point of view policy and breaches the formal tone expected in an encyclopedia. Thank you. —C.Fred (talk) 03:11, 2 August 2013 (UTC)
- Thanks for the information. Will keep that in mind.--Nirbhai1699 (talk) 20:08, 2 August 2013 (UTC)
Your recent edits
editHello and welcome to Wikipedia. When you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion (but never when editing articles), please be sure to sign your posts. There are two ways to do this. Either:
- Add four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment; or
- With the cursor positioned at the end of your comment, click on the signature button ( or ) located above the edit window.
This will automatically insert a signature with your username or IP address and the time you posted the comment. This information is necessary to allow other editors to easily see who wrote what and when.
Thank you. --SineBot (talk) 20:03, 2 August 2013 (UTC)
Unblock request
editNirbhai1699 (block log • active blocks • global blocks • contribs • deleted contribs • filter log • creation log • change block settings • unblock • checkuser (log))
Request reason:
I have been blocked indefinitely for 'Abusing multiple accounts'. But I want to confirm here that I did not use multiple accounts. There is some kind of misunderstanding. Please take a second look at my account or investigate further. I did not use multiple accounts. Please advise me what else can I do to prove my innocence. Thanks,
Accept reason:
Assuming Good Faith on this one based on the CU. Bjelleklang - talk 21:58, 17 August 2013 (UTC)
- The problem is, your edits looked so consistent with those of Yesitwasgenocide (talk · contribs · deleted contribs · logs · filter log · block user · block log) that an administrator blocked you because of the appearance that you have run both of the accounts. —C.Fred (talk) 20:40, 5 August 2013 (UTC)
Thanks C.Fred. That is because I believe that 1984 anti-Sikh violence cannot be called riots because of its organized nature and complicity of police and political leaders, something which is mentioned in the article itself. I am not running multiple accounts. I just happen to share an opinion with another user "Yesitwasgenocide". And secondly, I was expressing my opinions on the talk page and not making edits on the actual article. Please advise me what I can do to get the block lifted. Thanks,--Nirbhai1699 (talk) 00:00, 6 August 2013 (UTC)--Nirbhai1699 (talk) 00:00, 6 August 2013 (UTC)
- You did edit the article four times. —C.Fred (talk) 04:00, 6 August 2013 (UTC)
So What happens now. Am I permanently exiled from Wikipedia? Please advise me what to do.
- I'd like to hear thoughts from the blocking admin on that. @Tiptoety: Would you care to comment? —C.Fred (talk) 04:51, 6 August 2013 (UTC)
- Given the CheckUser results were only "possible" I'm willing to assume good faith here. If other admins feel an unblock is the right course of action, I will not protest. Tiptoety talk 04:57, 6 August 2013 (UTC)
Thanks for the consideration. Do I need to contact other editors or they will be notified automatically? --Nirbhai1699 (talk) 05:04, 6 August 2013 (UTC)
Please let me know what else can I do to get unblocked. This is not fair. I did not use multiple accounts. Please advise me what to do. I am not getting any response. Please help. --Nirbhai1699 (talk) 03:54, 7 August 2013 (UTC)
@Tiptoety: I would really appreciate it if you can inform me about the status of my unblock request. Thanks, --Nirbhai1699 (talk) 07:50, 19 August 2013 (UTC)
- You have been unblocked. I approved the unblock request, but forgot to actually unblock you but that's been fixed. Bjelleklang - talk 08:42, 19 August 2013 (UTC)
Thanks Bjelleklang --Nirbhai1699 (talk) 17:12, 19 August 2013 (UTC)
