re Email
editYour article was deleted because it did not assert the significance of the company, and yes you could say the same thing about Britney Spears except that you would be wrong, her article does quite clear assert the significance of the subject, the same thing goes for Microsoft, i very much Minatek has the same level of notability, which is what your article needs to show, through reliable, 3rd party sources. I will also point out that we do not want you to write articles about subjects with which you are personally involved, if it is notable, someone else will write about it, it is impossible for you to remain truly neutral--Jac16888 (talk) 20:04, 19 November 2008 (UTC)
Managing a conflict of interest
editHello, Nitro911. We welcome your contributions, but if you have an external relationship with the people, places or things you have written about on the page Spinx (store), you may have a conflict of interest (COI). Editors with a conflict of interest may be unduly influenced by their connection to the topic. See the conflict of interest guideline and FAQ for article subjects for more information. We ask that you:
- avoid editing or creating articles about yourself, your family, friends, colleagues, company, organization, clients, or competitors;
- propose changes on the talk pages of affected articles (you can use the {{edit COI}} template)—don't forget to give details of reliable sources supporting your suggestions;
- disclose your conflict of interest when discussing affected articles (see Wikipedia:Conflict of interest § How to disclose a COI);
- avoid linking to your organization's website in other articles (see Wikipedia:Spam § External link spamming);
- do your best to comply with Wikipedia's content policies.
In addition, you are required by the Wikimedia Foundation's terms of use to disclose your employer, client, and affiliation with respect to any contribution which forms all or part of work for which you receive, or expect to receive, compensation. See Wikipedia:Paid-contribution disclosure.
Also, editing for the purpose of advertising, publicising, or promoting anyone or anything is not permitted. Thank you. signed, Rosguill talk 19:26, 17 May 2024 (UTC)
- Curious--after almost a year of this article being available, what makes you think there's a COI? Special:Contributions/Nitro911 (talk) 20:15, 17 May 2024 (UTC)
- Non-neutral prose and ignoring easily-found but negative online sources are the two things that stand out. signed, Rosguill talk 21:46, 17 May 2024 (UTC)
- Thanks for the explanation. No COI--I don't work there, and rarely purchase, but noticed them missing so I used another similar store as a "template" and made appropriate changes. Nitro911 (talk) 02:42, 18 May 2024 (UTC)
