Portugal Army

edit

Oh! Thank you for letting me know! I read a White Paper last year that said the Army would disband the Mechanized Brigade. If it is still active then the paper was either wrong or the plans changed. I will re-add the brigade tomorrow. Thank you very much for letting me know. noclador (talk) 20:38, 8 October 2014 (UTC)Reply

Ok I did an update and also checked the Portuguese wiki and the Portuguese army site and a few NATO sources I have. The companies are now all part of bigger battalions, i.e. the Anti-air battery still exists (as a reinforced battery and not a group), but it is only part of the Mechanized brigade in case of war, until then the anti-air battery (along with two for for the other two brigades and one for the general staff) is under command of the 1st Anti-Air Artillery Regiment of the Intervention brigade. And (as an other example) the Reconnaissance Company of the Rapid Reaction Brigade is during peacetime part of the 3rd Cavalry Regiment of the General Staff. Therefore I took the companies out as there seems to be no more independent companies left. best regards, noclador (talk) 17:09, 9 October 2014 (UTC)Reply
